Thats me at the front

i can see that it would run rings around a Subaru, and so would the Clio and the mini and the Fiesta and all the other quality cars lined up

Nope I think they were playing together if you see, and I belive the mx5 is a FM matia turbo.

Power to weight ratio, well set up car and a decent driver not all that glitters is gold.

There is so much to be said for a cheap track car, wish i'd of bought the MX5 i was looking at when i got my Type r now, i'd have saved £10k

There's actually a RS for sale on autotrader and the dealer that's selling it dosent know, it's listed as a 1.8iS sport but infarct it's a rs import for £2k and I reckon it can be pushed to £1500.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1998-MAZDA...d=450958888236

The thing i notice the most is that on track days most owners with expensive cars maybe drive at about 50 % which is understandable in a cheap track car you can drive at the max. Also on my last track day a certain scooby driver was all pleased at doing 60 track miles on the same day i did 270. I guarantee on that day i had the most fun in a car costing less than a grand.

Don't think I'm allowed in FC Craig,

Since I'm lucky enough to have met the three of you, I thought it would be a chance for the soft MX5 girls to have weekend with the hardcore RA boys
You could even bring the new car:thumb
The skinny Yorkshireman could bring his new car & the fat one with the non standard roof vent may even attend

Invitations are waiting.......

Maybe

Need a new bucket seat as the sponge in it is non existent and my **** kills(cobra), so need a more **** friendly one, just bought a sparco one.
Also need a 320mm steering wheel as the ****** took his and gave me the stock one and a new gear **** as it keeps spinning when I change gear, think its over tightened and thread is knackered.(might get a ***** )

Very tail happy also as rear arb is set to hard. Pretty impressed so far, coming from a 330hp impreza will kill it in corners but on straight no chance.
It will keep me busy for a while
