I have had dealings with indigo in the past, & as I stated nothing wrong with them atall, infact I found them very helpful. I thought they bought in a mapper to do all their mapping as do most of the Subaru specialists on here, which is perfectly acceptable as long as the results are good. If I got this wrong then I appologise, but it was never a negative comment, let's face it lots of people have mapping done at API & ScoobyClinic who both bring in mappers for the job with great results.
I know what your saying though and agree, All mapping is done by Antony firstly on the rolling road, then out for live mapping on the road.

Mapping is something that needs to be done right IMO so only trusted my cars to people who have very good reputations and been doing it for a long time.
I've used Andy Forrest, JGM and Bob Rawle and was happy with all of them, if i ever had and another Subaru or EVO I would use one of these 3 again.
I've driven mine and 2 of SSS cars for road mapping sessions and as long as you pick sensible roads that you know well to do the mapping on I don't see any problems with it.
