Will do for the interim mate. I think the look will suit the car far better than anything else.

I've come around to that way of thinking as well Frayz... I'm going to dig a spare centre section out tomorrow as well just in case it's the HKS centre that is sitting the back out more.

I'm having to learn to compromise Glenn it will fill a gap and get me going, I'm actually very interested to hear what it sounds like as everyone I talk to have nothing but praise for the sound of these systems then if its good for me I'm happy to buy a new one with the quality finish I need for the car.

Finished both parts off today just incase both are needed tomorrow.

I'll be having a little run out in the R tomorrow and I'm also looking forward to seeing the car.

Awesome news on getting it fired it. The H&S ended up coming out very well considering the surface scum on it before.

Well that was a very pleasant morning

Nice little run in the R up to see Simons car.

Well what can I say.......
It's an incredible piece of work the people involved in this should be very proud of what they have all done.
It has all come together fantastically well, I think it's fair to say that even Subaru themselves would be totally impressed
I'm very much looking forward to seeing this car on the road and its going to get some reaction at the shows I think

I'm genuinely impressed with the build the guys at Ace are completing and it's given me heart to know that my car is also in good hands as they have looked after it these past 5 1/2 years and will continue to do so I hope.
It's fair to say they are all also bouncing!

Simon, it's been a journey I Know but be very pleased and continue on with the rest of the restoration in the same vain as now you have come thus far the rest of the car deserves the same.

It will be one of the best Imprezas on the road in the UK of that I have no doubt

Your going to have to make do with a short burst of exhaust

Thanks Kev pleased you liked what you walked into earlier, like me you had only seen parts so to see it all together is an attack on the senses
Just one of many good cars out there bud

Right got a fair bit sorted this morning in between people calling in and cups of tea. The cars now sat on it wheels, sat a little high but its going to take a little time to settle down to its new ride height, also fitted the Rally Armour flaps... My god they are good and I don't even like flaps and I'm well impressed !! I cannot rate these enough and no metal brackets needed to fit them so a double double bonus as far as I'm concerned. We also fitted the new tyres and the exhaust to the car.

Jobs left to do for now are, screen fitting, Craig the painter has to come and mop the car now all the panels are back together. I've got the interior carpet home for a good clean, refit that next Saturday along with wash the inside of the car and fit original interior. Collect the snagging list items tomorrow and get them up there for fitting. Stick the tax disc in the window and drive off !!

Still a little fine tuning to get them sat true and level but overall even I'm impressed. Lee there you go I hope that helps you if you decide to go for a set for T31

And a few more general shot.... It's so good to see the car back on a set of wheels and gold is definitely the colour.

When I get the car home I'll fix my new jap size lettering plates to it.

They look great I can't remember now who painted them
They will look even better when I get the decals sorted.

Thanks Frayz.... Yes I agree it's the pipe to go for, initial tick over sounded spot on looking forward to seeing how it performs on the move. One thing to remember with the RA as the gearing is low its going to be higher revving which in turns makes it louder out the back.

HKS will be for sale along with the new age tyres when I get five minutes

Cheers guys I'm really happy with the way it's coming together now it's been quite a journey I'm not relaxing yet though not until I drive it home

I'm thinking of trying to get hold of the last owner, he had it 5 years looking at the paperwork so he must have enjoyed the car so he may like to see what happened to it.

Thanks Daz it's been a long road but nearly there now to get back on the road. Plod on with one part at a time has been the secret.
