225's will catch the arches, wont they?
I'd lend you the wheels off my car for setting up, but, you're a tad far away and I don't think they clear Brembo's.

Some seem to Micky and some don't I think it's a lot to do with the tyres fitted, some have quite a straight side wall like the RE070's as Joe has on his, there's F1's fitted on mine with the OEM wheels so I hope they will be ok fingers crossed.
Thanks for the offer there much appreciated

The newage wheels sit in quite a bit further than the revolutions and with the re070s on they also catch! Slightly less than the revolutions but they do still catch.
Ill be on the hunt for a decent solution to the re070s.
Choose wisely mate, it's annoying getting a set that you like but catch

I'm pleased I know now at least I can plan, I knew they would be tight but thought I may just get away with it but it looks like the odds are against me.
I had a good deal on the wheels and managed to get 4 identical tyres as there's so many out there with 2,3 and 4 different brands fitted so I've value in the good rubber on them... The chances of finding new age wheels with classic tyres are near impossible so no big shakes.
It's a pity those Rev's are in Manchester as they become an option now for the rubber to for the spare wheels.

It would appear that Dean off the RA Forum has spotted something that made us do some further research on the production month and model of this car, the steering wheel points to a Version 1 and not a Version 2 as I believed it was. So after digging through my paperwork and looking at the Jap documents that came with it when new Dean has spotted that this is a December 1994 model and the V2 did not start until August 95, It states on the one document month and year of manufacture.
So It stacks up that this is a Version One Sti RA making it nearly 19 years old !!

Loving the last few updates mate, its actually starting to look like a car again.
All joking aside, car is coming along lovely mate and i think the grey subframe parts was a really good choice, works well.

Joe yes indeed you may well have one of the cleanest out there
I'm pleased you like the colour scheme it took some thinking about but it all marries well together and the white shell sets it off a treat I feel.
You have no idea how pleased that I am as well that it is now starting to look like a car again to as at times it's been quite stressfull seeing the car in what I have been calling a thousand peices but now to see it all go back together is a huge relief let me tell you

Another day up the garage tinkering on things.... I never achieve what I plan as there's always someone calling in and looking over how the cars coming on or simply passing by and admiring the work we have achieved. Today's debating topic is the exhaust pipe and is it right for the car, should I go for a Miltek type back box look for the rally heritage that's the question. For some reason the HKS does not seem to sit up into the underside of the car like my old one its quite low slung and the only way to really know will be to get the wheels on and the car on the ground.
Brake lines are all fitted plus wings, bonnet and bumpers are all on... There are a couple of snagging list bits I need to find which I shall list at the end of the update as I need to find them ASAP. The engine is nearly all finished apart from the odd item I need to find, all the fluids are next on the list, diff and gearbox to start with then power steering and brakes after the engine is fired up. All is looking really good Rhys has done a fantastic job on the re build.
For now the old plastic petrol filler cover has been fitted but a new one is on route.
You can just make out how low slung the HKS is on the rear of the car...
