Who is dreaming? Funny that the lad who told me wasn't even the owner, its somebody else who attends such questionable events. They say the TT owner was scared to do a higher speed run in case things didn't go his own way.

I never belive anything people from the "scene" tell me unless I witness it myself. Some people take it so serious and can never be gracious in defeat!

But anyway, said GTO was only running the 1/4 mile in the same times as my TTRS did as stock, so I dont believe it.

TT RS is the sort of car reserved for guys that are too scared to get a mans car. They have their place and don't offend me as such, but I couldn't imagine owning one. They play a very important role allowing the down trodden, hen pecked 'enthusiast' a foot on the bottom of the performance ladder.

Can just imagine the poor guy desperate to own a GTR, Impreza or other real world supercar.. Pottering around in his bmw 320d, buying Evo magazine and leaving the feature on the new GTR open on the kitchen table for the boss (wife) to see.. "You're not buying one of those ghastly things Tarquin! we'd be the laughing stock of the badminton league!". Then she spots a pic of the TT rs in the feature.. "Oh, that looks cute Tarquin. You can have one of those". Then poor old Tarquin spends the next few months convincing himself the TT RS is what he really wants.

Then the poor bugger has to try and extract some performance out of it, queue creeping round the mrs with talk of improved economy remaps.

Have we had any takers for the subaru vs ttrs challenge that was laid down earlier? No dont think so..... Just some dude whos mates brother dad owns an 11 sec GTO. a £500 remap TTRS can do those times.

I expected more from a supposed 'performance' car forum but I guess in truth the owners of these cars cant afford the petrol to drive fast....

I know how it performs against a stage 2 TTRS drop top. The BMW has traction issues.

My car will be more powerful, lighter, and 4wd. Wont be an issue.
