A very sad loss for all of us.
I have always found Harvey knowledgable, honest and always happy to give detailed advice. Characteristics that that are not always easy to find.

very sad to hear of harveys passing, i thought he was doing well after being poorly after his accident. always willing to offer his advice and will be missed by the subaru community for his work. he will live on amongst us in scoobynet as his upipes and turbos etc will still pop up for sale so his name will always be around this place. my condolences to harveys family.

So sad to read this Dawn, my thoughts will be with you as you go through this horrible time.
I only dealt with Harvey via emails and PM's, only in July I was asking him about his Vectra diesel project, such a helpful knowledgeable bloke.
RIP Harvey, you will be missed.

All the best Dawn, I can't imagine what it must be like to go through what you did finding him :-( I hope you can draw some comfort from how well regarded Harvey was amongst the Subaru community. I spoke to him many years ago and can only echo what others have said, a gentleman.
RIP Harvey.
RIP Harvey.

Very sorry to hear this Dawn. RIP Harvey.
I met Harvey back in 2000 I think at a Well Lane rolling road day. I later bumped into him at my first trackday at Croft. I had the good fortune of Harvey taking a passenger ride in my car and giving me much needed instruction. By the end od the twenty minute session I was overtaking everything much to the delight of Harvey
he has been very much a pioneer in the Scooby world in this country.
He will be sorely missed.
Damian.

Ahh Dawn, so sorry to hear about your loss, heartbreaking..
unfortunately I never had the pleasure of meeting Harvey in person.. I, like some of the ppl on here, emailed Harvey with daft questions.. Harvey always took the time to figure out what on earth I was raving on about and pointed me in the right direction..Told me what I needed, and I bought what he advised. He was generous to a fault with his vast knowledge, passing it on, if you were willing to listen...it was Harveys love of the cars and their performance and the buzz he got outta getting it right and not about money..
a True 100% petrol head!
Harvey will be sadly missed by us all here within the Subaru Community.. My sincere condolences to you Dawn, and too all his family and friends at this sad time, you have lost a true gent.
RIP

Thanks for all the help you gave me.
Thanks for keeping my car in your back garden every now and then
Thanks for calling a spade a spade.
I was due to come and stay at your place this last month and put it off. Gutted...
Dawn, and I speak for all of us on here, our thoughts are with you at this time.
I think this will stay on the back of mine as a mark of respect.
Goodbye Harvey - Rest in peace mate

Very sad news. I met Harvey once and found him to be very enthusiastic and more than happy to pass on his wisdom. A great loss to the Subaru community.
My thoughts are with you and your family.

My deepest condolences to you Dawn and your family.
I dealt with Harvey on a couple of occasions and found him always to be helpful, he gave his advice freely and was always interested in the best outcome for the customer even if it meant he didn't sell you something.
A genuine gentleman and a big loss to the Subaru/tuning community and society full stop.

The fact that this thread has nearly reached 5 pages in 5 hours speaks volumes of the man........
The loss is massive and is acutely felt by virtually everyone that's heard of - let alone conversed/dealt with - him!

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, Harvey was such a gent when my friend suffered a head injury like his. He sent my friend books and generally showed interest in his progress.
From the few conversations we had Harvey, I'm sure my friend Rob would agree with me.......you were one of the good guys. Rest easy feller.
