Very sorry to hear this Dawn. RIP Harvey.
I met Harvey back in 2000 I think at a Well Lane rolling road day. I later bumped into him at my first trackday at Croft. I had the good fortune of Harvey taking a passenger ride in my car and giving me much needed instruction. By the end od the twenty minute session I was overtaking everything much to the delight of Harvey
he has been very much a pioneer in the Scooby world in this country.
He will be sorely missed.
Damian.

I met Harvey for the first time at Well Lane too, possibly in 2000 as well. At that time he was pushing the boundaries of Subaru tuning with his 500bhp wagon. From thereon in I always made a point of chatting to him every time I saw him. He always had time and explained everything in detail and was always happy to show what he'd had done to his car. Recently I sold him a clutch and he made a point of sending me a pm, telling me how happy he was when he opened the package and saw the quality and condition of the clutch.

Sorry to hear of your sad loss Dawn.I first met Harvey at a Well-lane rolling road session which he had organised with Ninnybobs many years ago in those days he was in the Tyne-tees scoobs and ourselves the cumbrianscoobs the thing with Harvey I will always remember is he spoke his mind irrespective of who it was to and if somebody upset him well that was another thing, the Subaru community has its characters and Harvey was one he will be missed RIP

Sad news indeed.
Had many long conversations with him over the years that generally started off about Subaru's and normally ended way off topic about pretty much everything in life.
Never had the pleasure of meeting him but he always spoke his mind and I certainly respected his advice - not just about Subaru's.
Our thoughts are with Dawn and the family.
RIP Harvey

Very sad to hear this news. I had many chats with Harvey and came up a couple times for work on my car and friends... followed by Danws bacon butties which were a fine touch to the end of a long day playing with cars.
It was a pleasure meeting Harvey and I spent one night down the local with him so we shared a few stories over a beer or two. He will be missed by all and his legacy lives on in the knowledge he gave ppl whenever they were in need of answers to tech questions etc.
I'm sorry for your loss Dawn and I hope you and the family get through this loss in time, but know that you will not be alone in your grieving.

My sincere condolences go out to you and your family
He was a very knowledgeable man and helped me on several occasions when I needed advice.
He will be greatly missed and I hope that he is not forgotten in the Subaru Community.
My prayers will go out to your family.

Having only been in the Subaru community for a short time I never had any dealings with Harvey but I already know of his great reputation. I'm sorry for your loss and my thoughts go out to you.

I didn't know him personally, but always enjoyed his comments on Scoobynet, especially when people were having a pop A true character, he will be greatly missed in the Subaru community.
