Tony ,glad to hear the car is going well at last
My warranty is up at the end of the month, has anybody taken out the extended warranty?
Is it worth taking out? Comprehensive cover ? How much is it ?
Any thoughts/advice welcome.

My dealer advised me not to. Only covered if the failure meant the car was completely undriveable. I am on 60k now. Keep your body warrantee going though as I have had to have boot lid and front wing done. There is an upgrade for rear number plate light seals. Check for rust streaking down from number plate light fitting.

Hi smiffydiff
I won't be taking it up as not worth it. IIRC £1300 per year if yo take it up BEFORE it's 3rd Bday.
If you extend it the day after the 3rd Bday you pay more with less coverage IIRC
And you'll only get what you has previously. Save those pennies and save on service costs. If engine goes Cossie it up.
IMHO

Morning all,
Quick question regarding the 340 upgrade. I have just had the stock exhaust replaced with a H&S system, I phoned Subaru about getting the upgrade but they won't do it as the upgrade comes with a new exhaust which I don't need! They told me their exhaust in the package is designed for the 340 upgrade.
So can somebody please recommend a mapper that can do the job, costing wise for a first map I know it will be anywhere between 500-650? Suggestions please guys.
Many thanks
Neil

very good call
Andy forest, Bob Rawle and Jolly green (JGM) but IIRC all will travel
North
Scooby clinic and Roger Clark Motorsport
Pat Hebron York!!
Litchfield imports.
TDR
Down south
Alan Jefferies enginetuner
Scoobyworld, AMD, Dynamix, lateral performance, revolution, Slowboy racing.
But I'd do some good research and choose wisely

If you want the same boxes again I think Hughy off here , who used to own the 'purple' one had some new ones that he didn't sell with the car as he had a custom system fitted.
The 340 upgrade seems to be a pile of crap

Yes Tony I had mine replaced last year under warranty , when the replacements eventually turned up, before you change them have a check on the inside of the tailpipes as the inner section seems to be just a sleeve and that rattles on mine now until it warms up.

If one is replaced under warranty hay ho!
If not I'll look else where

. It's really the only consideration of you wish to retain your 3yr warranty.
Parts and labour covered by 60000 and 3yrs so represents good value.
Other performance products only covered by 1yr warranty and not fitting costs
And you'd lose the warranty.
Certainly if buying today for a 3+year old car and no warranty. it wouldn't be my first or second choice. Haywood & Scott or Miltek.
