Default Best site for scrapping a car?

Looking to scrap old car i have, looking for a website that will pay the best wondered if anyone has used one and how they work?

As when i googled it came back with loads, are they trust worthy?

I stripped a couple vectras years ago , just ended up looking in free ads and rang a couple

Most were obvious travellers and were helpful but had a guy who built stock racing cars and he gave me great price as it was already stripped and still had running engine !

I used Charles Trent (http://www.trents.co.uk/) last year to scrap a 1997 Volvo V40 and got £188. They came and picked it up from Bristol. They took the car and a few days later the money was in my account so I guess they're trustworthy.
I didn't get the certifiacte proving it had been scrapped but I believe they sent it to my old address, this is my fault though....

id strip it, and try and make some decent cash from it. why give it away?got to be so mething of value on it ?Engine? gearbox? the electrics ? If u have room for a few weeks then strip it. what car? if its a classic , parts will get snapped up so think seriously about it.

I used car take back end of last year to scrap a Renault Scenic after I blew up the engine, they offered me £25 more for it if they sent someone to collect it! Thought that was a bit strange, anyway I got £175 for it as a non runner by bank transfer same day, I was happy with that.
