Once it is cut, what fetteling / adjustment requires to be done to make it fit a V5 JDM Subaru?

Picked up my key from the post office after handing over 12 quid!! The girl said that the limit was now £15 before they start charging you so if anyone is thinking about buying one then get the seller to mark the price as £15 or less:-)

Got it cut at Timpsons and it works in the ignition and driverside door!!

I paid a lot more than I wanted too but I'm happy with my bling key now!!

Thanks again

Needs sanding a little to make it the right thickness and will work perfectly

I got mine cut at the local timpsons and it works in every lock and ignition. I had to spray some lubrication into the passenger door and gently turn it back and forth and in and out but it eventually worked.

I'm sure there's something about sanding it down as it is thicker but I could be wrong.

Other than that, someone is bound to have had the same problem and help you out.

Good luck

Dave

I think a lot of it has to do with who cuts them if it goes in it should turn if cut correctly. Its a bit like getting geometry done the machine could be 50k but if the man that's doing it can't use it it's worthless.
