and anyway, if you did sell it and buy a WRX, you'd still be wrong, the 'should have bought an STi' brigade will be along!

 

We all start somewhere mate!! I bought my wrx and spent a tonne of money converting it to near sti spec.....that was because I couldn't insure an sti when I first bought it completely standard and once it'd been mine, it was then MY car so instead I just modded it and declared everything! Some people are happy to get a car and then just sell it on....I, which seems similar to you, does not buy a car, build it up and look after to just bin it and buy another when you can keep going with the current which your happy with.....GOOD LUCK MATE !!!!

Mine already is a wrx by the way it just needs a turbo lump put in it.

as said before buy a full turbo donor car with bad bodywork ect, sure there are bargains to be had - and swap bits needed, better than waiting on bits and bobs form varios sources imo
that said id imagine swapping the wiring loom ect could become a bit of a nightmare. good luck

but your money/time mate - do as you please. if your doing all the work yourself, itll be great for learning the car inside out.

 

Yes I am and it's one of the reasons I wanna do it so when modding time comes I'm keyed up to start playing. I'm looking at donor cars now so fingers crossed.
