I can share with you my experience of our Royal Marine Heroes ..... but i won't as it's personal.
But, I can tell you right now that they are not quite right in the head when they have been in action - it's just how it is, and they are animals ..... there is a reason why they are rarely allowed into nightclubs and other places (all Forces Personnel, actually).
There are, clearly, some great Marines and Soldiers ...... there are more than your fair share of moral missing morons, however.
Active service changes people ... they become de-sensitised to things, therefore they inflict pain when they return from service.
I'm not trolling or being an 4rse .... it's my experience and my opinion, I'm not interested in ***** waving about who has the biggest muscles and smallest brains either!

But in the heat of the moment only YOU can question your actions. Not some fat p***k sat at a keyboard looking into a world he knows nothing about. As long as those actions can be justified then no-one can tell you you were wrong. Even a military court.

I guess the video they found was all bull**** to!, the feelings you have of being a respectful soldier representing your country being dragged through the mud is somewhat painful I imagine?

The Royal Marines are animals ...... which is what we want them to be in the warzone.
They rape, torture and murder ... although, normally, this is overlooked in foreign lands. The Taliban may be mad - but don't ever think that our forces act like angels!
The real problem is that they act like animals when back home too. This case is being held in a Military Court - or the true facts of these animals actions at home may be aired too, and we wouldn't want to hear that, would we?

Not saying they did anything would be nothing compared to what they ( the insurgent ) would of done to them! Check back a year when that young infantier 18 ifrom a scotch regiment iirc , he went out on his own to recover a vital piece of comms equipment he lost lost on patrol , he was repeatedly raped and beaten and not raped just by people he was also getting sticks and all sorts shoved up there ! Eye for an eye !

It sickens me that these charges are being brought to placate a weak Afgan government. The whole thing stinks in my opinion.

We would certainly expect them to be "hard" when in military action, that is what they are trained to do and also to win any engagement.
Does not excuse them for any kind of vicious action under normal civilian circumstances.

So I can only presume that if you were fighting in a war and you were captured alive thus becoming a prisoner of war, that you consider that the enemy would be fully entitled to torture you for their own entertainment and then to murder you in a very painful manner even though you were in no position to be able to fight them any further.

The Rules Of Engagement allow for Insurgents/Taliban to be shot on suspision of planting IED's but you need the Chain Of Command on your side.

I looked after the lad in the article above. It's the irony that the said insurgent/Taliban was treated by the British Soldiers for his wounds. But Knott was found innocent but any media coverage?

If the evidence is there then they deserve the punishment but if they are innocent the courts will decide. I wonder how much coverage that will get.
