But, I can tell you right now that they are not quite right in the head when they have been in action - it's just how it is, and they are animals ..... there is a reason why they are rarely allowed into nightclubs and other places (all Forces Personnel, actually).

There are, clearly, some great Marines and Soldiers ...... there are more than your fair share of moral missing morons, however.

Active service changes people ... they become de-sensitised to things, therefore they inflict pain when they return from service.

I'm not trolling or being an 4rse .... it's my experience and my opinion, I'm not interested in ***** waving about who has the biggest muscles and smallest brains either!
Well your non-personal experience counts for a lot clearly. Your opinions and views are very misguided and are down right insulting.

I'll leave someone else to feed this moron/troll.

Your uneducated and ill informed views are typical of the modern day inbred idiot. Yes we make mistakes and it may seem what we do is wrong. But in the heat of the moment only YOU can question your actions. Not some fat p***k sat at a keyboard looking into a world he knows nothing about. As long as those actions can be justified then no-one can tell you you were wrong. Even a military court.

I would suggest you take a long hard look at yourself. I wonder if someone like you and your strong views would have the minerals to say that to our face? Probably not, much easier behind a computer.

A proud and loyal Booty
I guess the video they found was all bull**** to!, the feelings you have of being a respectful soldier representing your country being dragged through the mud is somewhat painful I imagine?
Their actions represent what you guys do/don't right in this illegal war?

If your so well informed what exactly are you doing out there.......protecting the UK........from what......we never had any issues in UK with so called Terrorist/Muslims until troops were sent over?

They rape, torture and murder ... although, normally, this is overlooked in foreign lands. The Taliban may be mad - but don't ever think that our forces act like angels!

The real problem is that they act like animals when back home too. This case is being held in a Military Court - or the true facts of these animals actions at home may be aired too, and we wouldn't want to hear that, would we?

my old man was a commando for 15 years. traveled the world three times, lost many afriend serving. get ya head sorted clown

Say no more mate, I think it is time the public in the UK backed the armed forces not to mention the GOVERNMENT.

It sickens me that these charges are being brought to placate a weak Afgan government. The whole thing stinks in my opinion.

We would certainly expect them to be "hard" when in military action, that is what they are trained to do and also to win any engagement.

Does not excuse them for any kind of vicious action under normal civilian circumstances.

Any links to this news story or is it just the usual crap rumours spread to try and polarize opinions on each side of a conflict.

Sure is. I was there when it happened.

Can't confirm what happened to him as I don't know the facts but he definitely wandered off on his own.

That's not the point though.

You can't say your way is right if you are going to slip down to their level.

That's not how they operate though , a small number of people not playing the game, however the Taliban operate the way they do regardless .

The innocent people they torture, rape and kill are not fighting ....... you will normally find that they attack the weaker end of the warzone.

So I can only presume that if you were fighting in a war and you were captured alive thus becoming a prisoner of war, that you consider that the enemy would be fully entitled to torture you for their own entertainment and then to murder you in a very painful manner even though you were in no position to be able to fight them any further.

Geneva was all for nothing then!

Les i'm not referring to the Geneva Convention, it's situations when the army have armed taliban in their sights or witness them planting IED's but are unable to engage until they are shot at first.

This is really something else Pete. This is verging on the slanderous and to avoid this you need to man up and state "your experience" and not hide behind your statement. You must be fully aware of OSM and TRiM then Pete?

The Rules Of Engagement allow for Insurgents/Taliban to be shot on suspision of planting IED's but you need the Chain Of Command on your side.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukne...stigation.html

I looked after the lad in the article above. It's the irony that the said insurgent/Taliban was treated by the British Soldiers for his wounds. But Knott was found innocent but any media coverage?

A big fat NO!

If the evidence is there then they deserve the punishment but if they are innocent the courts will decide. I wonder how much coverage that will get.

I wonder what you would think if you had your door booted off and soldiers storm in and take the **** out of you in your own home. They have every right to defend them selfs and their homes!

Are peoples heads so far up their own asses? that they can't see what's the true cause behind the war? OIL AND RESOURCES. I guarantee you that country will fall in to civil war after british troops have left!

They certainly ain't protecting us from these so called terrorist who didn't even exist until 9/11 and the invasion Afghanistan.

9/11 came before the onset of Taliban hostilities in Afghanistan.

It's got minerals but not oil.

We live in a democracy that allows PSL and you to say what ever you want and soldiers will die in order for you to say it.

People voted Labour and Tony Bliar into power, people like PS Lewis!
