Sorry to hear that guys, no one likes waiting, especially if it immobilises their car!
But it's the exact opposite experience that I have had with my alcatek equipment! Although I go through Dave @ Interpro

Ph1.5? Fiddly and awkward. Unclip from the back of the clocks, and same again at the gear box end. I "think" they are 2 piece cables, could be wrong though.

Defi gauges are fitted, all wired in, turns out my oil temperature sensor is fubared though. So need a new sensor.

Need to find a pod for the dash to keep them in as I want to try and tidy up the wiring a bit. What fits a Ph1.5?

I want a decent fit although I can't see any 4 gauge pods.....

Miles are finished on the engine and it is ready to be mapped.

Can't say I'm a fan of that, looks a little 'fast and furious' to me...

What about something like this that I made up.

Im not skilled with fibreglass etc i couldnt make something like that!, its how they were laid out originally, but I wasnt too keen on it, the dash pods on fleabay and the likes dont look like a good fit either and I dont think they even do one to suit my dash!

RSpec are decent in my experience.
How about a triple pod (they do 52/60 for Subaru Classic) for oil and water, then a single boost on steering column?

Thanks for that Paul, however pillar pods are out as you won't see them past the roll cage bars!

would have to be something like matty has or a dash pod but I can't find any dash pods for my style dash

Arh yes of course.

Yer it that case something custom like Mattys or a Toucan?

Are the gauges 52 or 60mm? You can get 3x52's above the stereo without chopping away.

Thanks banny.

the gauges are 60mm.

Having them down in the Din slot puts them out of the way of my eyes though, I want them on top of the dash so I can see them quickly without taking my eyes off the road.

as Banny knows at 500+hp things move extremely quickly and taking your eyes off the road for a second is not a good idea.

My friend has a toucan and I don't rate it at all. With gloves on when hill climbing it's impossible to use and the screen is so small you can't do much with it or see what it's saying. if they did a something like the defi screen where you can display it on your tablet I would consider it

Agreed, when you have the hammer down its hard to look down. Also same with the toucan too small to see anything, personally I would leave them as they are as they are easy to see and anything else will be a compromise

I think you are right to be honest.

it might be 'fast and furious', but my car is fast and furious. lol!

it is a stripped out race car, no door cards etc. so I'm not too fused about the look, I'd like a pod but it would have to be a decent one.

To be perfectly fair guys the Toucan and or the gauges shouldn't need to be looked at constantly. The idea is that using the peak hold function and setting the warning alarms correctly your attention should only be drawn to them in the event that something is wrong, leaving you free to concentrate on driving

A log and playback function on the Toucan would be ideal and even better if it could be output in an excel or csv file.

I agree with not needing to be monitored constantly, however if it does alarm etc it is handy to be able to see it while driving etc to know what is going on.

if they did a bigger toucan screen or a way of displaying on a tablet etc it would be nice to have it on a phone mount or similar on the centre vents....

I wish there was a way of doing adjustable launch without a toucan....

The alarm is very clear as is the reason for it, the whole screen goes red and alerts you as to the cause of the failure.

There is a way. You fit an 8 position switch and use it as a launch rpm adjust option, simples.

What signal does the ecu need to adjust the launch?

fitted this, I'm not sure on it though....

Would blend in better if you had 22B vents at the moment it draws your eyes to it, does not seem to flow

Think you may be right, I might give that a go..... it will do for now. The old vent decided to take a trip on the motorway, ripped all the fixings out left the bolts in the bonnet and took off!

Got the vent from ETS Racing and it's a really good fit, quite impressed considering everything else I have ever had that has been grp has been crap....

The bonnet scoop flapping at high speeds always gets me a little nervous, does looking liek its going to fly off any second lol

ETS are generally pretty good quality and the stuff from them seems to fit pretty well, i had their vent on my last car, not the best pic

Yeah I'm impressed with it. I think il get the side vents too.

Yeah mine has always flexed and vibrated at speed, but it literally took off the other week! Big bang and away it goes! I thought I'd had a blown out or something and nearly crashed because it made me jump lol!

Toucan is the bomb! Saved me, when coolant pipe split during running in period. Alarm went off, very clear and noticeable! Personally a load of gauges arnt my thing, toucan does it so well. I know some people like gauges and I respect that.
When I'm driving I couldn't even glance at a gauge or a toucan. So the flashing , audible warning is great
