Slave cylinder is ordered and engine tuner hopefully have a nut in stock somewhere!

Yeah definitely. Got a good go at it today, it went really well!

Took 3hrs or so to fit the turbo, service the engine (spark plugs etc) complete the exhaust and put all the ancillaries back.

All that is left to do is change the oil and filter, prime the turbo, and change the slave cylinder

I have the race battery in the boot, but if I need to carry this everywhere I go I don't really see what benefit it gives me over a normal sized battery! Ho-hum!

Parts should be in to enable remap and mot tomorrow fingers crossed! Really getting some progress now!

Well today I'm hoping that enginetuner come up trumps with a new nut for the lower arm.

*fingers crossed* I'm sure they will!

The slave cylinder should be here today too. Also will be picking up my gearbox oil and new oil filter today.

I also hope cdf come up trumps with the wheel adapters I ordered! I can't wait to try the new shoes on!

Got the last bits required to get the engine side of things finished.

5ltrs of redline shock proof will be here tomorrow before 12 for my gearbox, the spacers from cdf are due tomorrow and the mot is booked in for 15.30!

So we are getting close now!

Big thanks to Alan at engine tuner for sourcing the last few bits for me. See you wednesday for my remap!

Just got back from the workshop, not feeling very confident about this right now.

I've got all the underneath suspension stuff bolted up.

I've got the oil changed

The clutch cylinder in and bled (I think, its impossible by yourself and I just don't know!)

So tomorrow all I need to do is prime the turb o and fire her up, check the clutch and fill the gearbox with oil.

Then mot etc.

Just praying it all goes to plan

Provided it arrives at your local Fed Ex branch tomorrow, you'll probably have it well before 12 mate, provided they work the same as the branch I'm sub-contracted to.

Newcastle branch use the Express(International collection) drivers to do premium deliveries, hopefully your local one is the same.

Let's hope so. I went absolutely ballistic at the managing director of UkFail this afternoon and he could not apologise enough, but it still doesn't get me my ****ing oil!

Have never been subject to such **** poor customer service, it seems like the MD will be giving the 2 staff I dealt with today numerous bollockings!

Thanks Joe, I haven't seen the spacers yet! As I'm excited about seeing the wheels on too!

The gearbox oil arrived at 9.47 this morning. After been promised at 7am it would be there before 9....

Fedex turned up at 9.51 with the other lot of oil, sent yesterday at 3pm... Fecking ridiculous how ukfail can get it so wrong!

Either way, I have got the bits I need. I have sneaked home for lunch and done the gearbox oil, topped up engine oil and coolant and cranked the engine over to check for leaks and prime the turbo etc. I have a small fuel leak so I need some fuel hose but once I have done that I can start it up...

Don't know wether to book an mot for tomorrow or not. Don't want to let them down again!

Today has been a day of mixed emotions, although the over riding feeling right now is despondence!

The day started off with mot, tax andd insurance, all was going well! Flew through the mot and everything was sorted quickly.

I then took the car to engine tuner.

Car couldn't go on the rollers as the battery was dead, so another 100quid down and a new battery wwas installed.

My water temp gauge packed up on the way in.

So not feeling so great Martyn got it in on the rollers and I hung around to watch, as per usual top service and really helpful!

First run on normal tesco 99 saw 497hp (it only pulled 485 on tesco 99 on the last turbo)

After some more tweaking with the mpa Martyn eeked out 516.7hp on straight pump fuel! Finally cleared 500 on pump fuel, over the moon!

We didn't do another meth map but I expect similar improvments with that too

Was over the moon with the car and started to drive home, the oil temp gauge started rising and kept rising, saw 135degs when I pulled in and killed the car, the car has just been recovered to engine tuner and I hope Its the gauge at fault!

Bleurgh!
