9/12 Apple Day
ah, my apologies then. Though I've never had any issues with holding the SGS2, and the larger size has it's benefits when viewing web, maps etc. It's going to be a trade off between comfort and usability.
Different size charger, why don't they use a univeral one like everyone else? Nokia always used to have a habit of doing that too, I've lost count of the number of adapters I had! Annoying.
Try Airplay. The iPhone/iPod/iPad is just a controller with a processor. iOS is the most popular gaming platform and it's even better on your TV.

Serious question (as thinking of buying the Mrs an iPhone and was waiting for the 5):
What will the new iPhone 5 running iOS 6 do that an iPhone 4S running iOS 6 won't?
(ignoring the obvious - so LTE support, dual band wifi and the screen size difference of 'show a TV show full screen in 16:9')
What will the new iPhone 5 running iOS 6 do that an iPhone 4S running iOS 6 won't?

I thought it was the 19th? GM should, hopefully, be today / tomorrow morning

Yup, confirmed 19th September - <http://www.macrumors.com/2012/09/12/apple-announces-new-ios-6-features-and-release-date/>
Nothing overwhelming about the new iPhone. Seems the leaks were pretty much right on most points.
New Nano does look rather nice though.

Seriously though, I think that's it. There was a matrix somewhere that showed what features would be available on which devices, but I cannot recall where that was!

She'd look "uber cool" letting everyone know that she has a 5 everytime she uses it because the iPhone 5 is easily distinguishable (just!) from the iPhone 4/4S.....that is until everyone else gets one. Better get in there quick with the pre-pre orders!
Could be what is coming in the October event, if it happens. Usually it's a music themed event, so I'd have expected iPods and iTunes to be there, though they aren't shipping until mid october, which would match that timeframe.
My thought is they wanted to get the new iPod and iTunes announced today, perhaps due to the underwhelming iPhone 5 info, as most of it was leaked previously so didn't have the impact it could have.
This frees up the content of the October event to focus on new 13" Retina Macbook, new iMac, and possibly the iPad Mini.

I don't see any mention of NFC, did I miss it? Contactless payment and all that.
Otherwise, looks like a nice phone, but that is all really. Does IOS6 add new features?
Cheers
