9/12 Apple Day
It's definitely down but it goes down on every release of a new product, nothing to do with not being able to see if your neighbour has her G-String on the washing line.
Not true, stock price went up with previous Apple products. It is down partly due to the disappointing iPhone 5. Besides a correction in its stock price is on the way, it's sold an unprecedented 5 million iPhones since launch and the stock is still going down! Having said that, Apple are in not in any trouble, this is just a blip for them.

We had some friends round yesterday one of which is an Apple nut-job. Even he is thinking of moving away from Apple when he contract ends next year.
His mrs (also has a 4s) won't let him update her phone to IOS6 as she doesn't want things to 'stop working'. Apparently some of her friends were having issues with their phones after updating.
To say I was laughing my **** off is an understatement.
These friends were the ones telling me how pathetic my HTC was when I bought it last year.
I haven't met anyone in the last week who actually wants the iPhone 5. Looks like I may be the only one!
Conversely I have just returned to work after a short break and find that ten or twenty of my colleagues have the iPhone 5, all working perfectly, they're very happy. I haven't met anyone who hasn't upgraded to iOS 6 and only one person has complained about the maps, guess what, his house was blurry!
I too would laugh at your HTC.

Ten or twenty?
You've spoken to each and every one in detail about every aspect of their new iPhone 5 and they're all very happy but you're not sure if it was 10 people or 20 people?
I smell bullsh!t Jack.

Took me 10 seconds to have google maps alongside apple maps on my iOS6 equipped iphone. Best of both worlds.
So your point(s) is(are) ?
Got iOS6 running on an iPhone 3GS, an iphone 4 an iPad 2 and a new iPad. Zero issues. All working great.

Somewhere between 10 and 20, I didn't count. Who said I spoke to them about every aspect, most of the time it was "You liking your phone? Any problems?" to which they replied "loving it" or similar. From what you read on here they should have all thrown the piece of **** at me.

What a load of rubbish. Of course you did Jack.
I have no reason to tell 'porkies' on here. You have a brand image to protect!

Don't worry, real people couldn't give a **** what phone you buy.
All I'm telling you about is personal experience, unlike others on here who's quote any web page they find. And in my personal experience iOS Maps have been great, I rarely used the old Google based maps, but have used the new navigation and browsed cities in 3d. Personally I haven't felt a need to drop back to Google Maps, but it's there if I should need to.
Bad news about Iphone 5.....
"The Apple’s plan was to manage to bring out lots of new devices after the buzz had ramped up enough. But it seems that something has gone bad behind the bamboo curtain. According to the reports that came a few days ago from China, a mass disturbance or riots may have broken out at a local Foxconn factory. The proof can found on the local popular twitter-like service called Weibo, which shows pictures and video of lots of police in riot gear gathering around the factory to block off people crowds.
The troubles began when Foxconn security guards hit a worker the other night, with the local censors being frantically deleting photos from the incident. In fact, this is not the first time that there’s a mass disturbance at the factory: this past March, there were also strikes at the location because the employees didn’t get a pay raise they had been promised before.
In the meantime, Foxconn's Chengdu factory located in Sichuan province has also seen rioting – for example, three months ago, a number of Foxconn workers were fighting with a local restaurant owner, with the police having to break up the fight. It looks like rioting became the only way the employees can force management to listen to them.
Moreover, media reports reveal that the company also had to deal with a string of suicides at its locations throughout China. They even had to install anti-jump nets at the factories in order to prevent more suicide attempts a couple years ago.
So, thus far it’s unclear what effect this will have on the supply of the iPhone 5, as the factory in question makes backplate for the device. By the way, Apple recently shifted iPad production from Foxconn to Pegatron."
Read it on my Android Galaxy S2 btw

...and Apple use Samsung!
More recent news is that the same judge that awarded Apple $1bn from Samsung has now raised the sales ban on the Galaxy Tab 10.1. It was ruled in that court, along with the British High Court that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 did not copy the iPad. Apple are now in a frenzy to avoid being force to admit this and to publish this on their website and various newspapers and other publications. I'm looking forward to seeing Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 advertisements on Apple's website.

I'm just pointing out that the two main so-called "issues" that many of the android fanboys keep harping on about in this thread are, in fact, absolute non issues.
If there's a need for people to "get real" on this thread, its certainly not those in the apple camp
