Issues to be addressed, which concern me:

Space, even for the 1.500 car limit.
Insurance.
First aid (I dont care about this at all but its a requirement).
Toilets (same as above).
The police - I suspect that all bets will be off unless its going very smoothly.

Marshal list updated to add the above

In regards to a few other questions from what i can gather

Police - they know about it and as long as people behave i cant see a problem, i think we will have to work at getting people parked and off the road ASAP to avoid traffic problems

First aid - no idea, if push comes to shove i will put some first aid supplies in my car but i have asked the question on the other thread if we will have first aid or not onsite

First aiders will be a must have and it will form part of the insurance agreement. no brainer really, if there are ANY at all first aiders on site, and we know about their existance and have a means of contacting them, that is fine, so we need to find out if we have any doctors/nurses or first aiders from their places of work and get their mobile numbers.

addressing the numbers coming and the space available, using quantifiying maths and borrowing a scaled map from google and a lot of messing about I figure there is space for between 600 and 650 cars, this depends on a lot though, such as no cars left in an awkward position that are always there, no trailers around the rear etc. that dosent allow for porta loos or food trailers.

as for communication, im sure we all have mobile numbers, just set up numbers on our phone such as connorsday- james simon etc, then just delete after.

Busta is asking about buckets for collections and if a representative from the charity will be attending with helpers (doubt it personally).

ile bring the red bull lol

I thought that it would be a good idea to get a list together of people who will be marshalling the meet for Connor with mugshots and jobs they will do so people know who to look out for because i cant be the only person who will be attending that basically knows nobody

1. Samuelellis (yes i know i look like Neil from the young ones with a bad beard and tash - both of them now gone)

Jobs - Wandering photographer, photographing cars as they come in, helping the first wave of people park and probably other jobs to be decided on at a later date
2. busta moves , I will make myself aware if your there early for marshalling, I'm too special for you to miss me lol. I will act like I'm ordering everyone but please don't take it personal as I'm just trying to keep Connors day smooth s poss.

3- GC8 - Simon. Im not a particularly photogenic fellow and this is the only picture of me that I have access to...

4 - Jamo

5 - Jamo's friend

6 - JDM Stig (Jamos friend)

7 - Simon (Jamos friend)

8 - Toneh (As per Jamo's post)

9 - Type-ra

10 - JDM-Stig's friend

11 - danny85turbo

12 - lee (WYS)

13 - Chris (WYS)

14 - Kevin (WYS)

15 - hostagekilla (WYS)

16 - gsijob (WYS)

17 - scoobysteve (WYS)

18 - Astra2507 (astra owners club)

19

20

21

22

23

24

25

25 because i only have 25 high vis jackets (obviously this number could go up if needed depending on people bringing there own high vis)

Also as an FYI

Marshall's will be reminding everyone who is attending NOT to let slip to Connor how bad the situation is so be prepared to stop your car and expect a marshall to stick his or her head though your window to remind you on the way in

Just to be aware Zippy is in a white classic Impreza with BBS wheels so ask every white Impreza with BBS wheels if they are zippy - if the are obviously dont say anything just wave them through

If you want to call me I'll go through the parking with you and show you other car parks that are available and surrounding roads, that way you can post up image with proper outlinings as I'm rubbish at that, pm me for my number.
Insurance sorted I think left it with zippys dad to pay as I gave him quote details.
First aiders are now coming forward, thanks, we don't need many just a few.
Toilets sorted-Kevin Connors grandad.
Police and council informed.

Been sitting on the fence on this for a while, I'm travelling a fair distance in a fairly rare car I've not owned long that I'm a little wary to leave alone, also had plans to meet up with some other VXROnline club members on the way up.

I'd like to still do that however if you find yourselves short of marshals, I'll change my plans and come up early. I'll check this thread again Friday afternoon and post up whether I can be of assistance.

Ps. Have you guys thought about how you're gonna stay in contact? I'll bring my PMR446 walkie talkie just in case (from airsofting days).

Pps. Mugshot can be found here

Also forgot to mention, although it's a few years out of date, I've had emergency first aid training. I stress emergency, because it just covers CPR, basics on stemming blood loss, etc. I don't have a certificate either, would have expired ages ago. Still, may be of some use in a pickle. Liability insurance may be a grey area though.

I appreciate what you're saying Kevin it is a sensitive subject, but one crew is coming from the states, that's a long way to come to be told they can't film mate.

I'm sure we could sort something out?

Hi Kevin, please can you clarify what the state of play is with filming in general is? Are Joe Public allowed to film / take photos?

Also, I would urge you to keep a close eye on this thread so the marshals can help serve your family and the day better.

This puts a spanner in the works for the genuine film crew.

Correct as far as Im aware. They have eight channels and so long as no one uses CTSS codes then everyone on , for eg, channel #8 can talk to anyone else using that same channel.

If people use the CTSS codes then those with more basic 8 channel radios wont be able to join in.

Think photos and vids will be ok, but in the wrong hands and un-agreed articles is not!

Agreed, this should be discussed on the day though. Posting in advance might attract unwelcome chatter. Might need to use 2-3 channels for management also.

Also, just FYI, using CTCSS slightly reduces the range of the walkie talkies (depending on the quality of the walkie talkie), be prepared to relay messages in case of an important message needing to be relayed from one corner of the premises to the other

Just spoke to Alex and he's happy to not film if that's needed, happy to just come and support the cause I've forwarded Kevin's number on to him, as he wants to know if there is anything else he can do.
