Speak to jamo or bustamoves if you want advice. If you have ur registration number you will be ok, the area is not the Bronx and there will be police presence along with plenty of people around, who have initiative if someone's looking dodgy round a car!
Let's all go back to what this is about, a fathers plea to make one day special for his son!! Any teething problems will be ironed out by team work, by people being adults, patience, not by people sabotaging the event that only have negative comments to make instea of helping find solutions to those possible issues that are been thought of.
Life is hard enough without finding problems for the sake of it!!

Sorry, I am going to have to withdraw....

Couldn't get the car through it's MOT, my normal 'friendly' chap is away so I tried to use a local garage, the guy pretty much fell of his chair at how high the emissions are, as it's a competition car.
Please put a reserve in my place. I hope Conor has a smashing day. Here's a couple of quick photos, I will send more through the web link to be passed on.
All the best everyone....

Hi all.
I have removed some posts from this thread that were causing some confusion. I will apologise if I have missed any that you would like removed (just rtm any I may have overlooked).
I have tried to do this in a way so as to leave any relevant information posted by the organisers, but it may be useful if any of you actually involved in the organisation could read over the last few pages just to double check that I haven't inadvertently deleted any helpful information. Or just give an overall summary.
I apologise that I haven't been on sooner to deal with this, and for any inconvenience caused.

Hi guys.
Not usually a member on this site but just joined in hope to clear up a lil confusion.
I am one of Connor's aunties, who are all planning on coming down to this event.
Reading these posts could you please confirm we are all ok to come. We have no cars to show and dont mind parking outside but as its listed as a private event and numbers are obviously an issue, could you please make sure you save some room for his family.
Thanks xxx

Is there going to be a final guide for attendees?!
I'm on the list but things I'm wondering are:
Do I need a pass or something to get in?
Do I need to put a sign in my window with any details?
Can I turn up before 1pm (telling everyone one time will cause carnage compared to stating a range)
When does it end?
Will cars be blocked in or can people leave at any point?
We can't tell Connor the bad news but does he know it's his day?
Is there security for the cars?
Are we doing anything special for Connor? (need direction from his family)
I just think it would be useful for attendees and organisers if there was one definitive guide. I think the guide needs to be in an accessible link, not a post or two that some people might not find.
Really looking forward to it. I hope it's obvious I'm asking these questions to help the day be great for Connor.

If you would like a stand pass, PM me.
These are not critical (I doubt I could do 500 passes in the time anyway).
It is just to make life easier for the marshalls, rather than have to speak to everyone asking whats your number... etc.
Thanks
Will

Throwing this out there again, I am staying in the Newcastle area, (The Marriott) working out of Ashington. If there is anyone willing to pick up and return a random guy from the US, I would greatly appreciate it. I can help with petrol. It'd be amazing to make it out to this, not only is it for a great cause, but there are going to be some wicked cars there that I don't ever get to see. I think I saw a Lancia Integrale on the list, among the many others.

Attention please-
Can I stress people that are not on the list please DON'T come as its full already even overflow car parks and if people just come along and think they can park on road then find out there's no room and cause a backlog of traffic, then the police may just take over and shut it down.
And people that are just hoping to come and squeeze in in hope, there is non
So please avoid at all costs, have respect for Connor, and can people pass this message onto relevant sites
The charity will be back up on that site soon so people who want to show their respects and donate then do that to candlelighters Yorkshire..
