Car's looking great....got to be happy with all the work....quick question - Do you think it would be very hard to retro fit that spec C centre console into a 2003 wrx??
It's not too bad a job really I helped or hindered with the removal of the old centre console and it wasn't too bad, in fact the worst thing was finding all the various retaining screws.
The centre console isn't unique to a Spec C - this one has just been painted in a matt black, if you are going to look at doing this conversion on a WRX try to get the setup from a later WRX due to the gearstick gaitor being different between WRX's and STi's.
I'll say it here as you are all watching this thread,I really don't think I am going to make the Prodrive meet with work demands at present and I have Dave Y booked for a complete respray on the 8th of september and he wants it back for the meet as well!

Tbho Cliff with the fact you would need to use some form of sealant around the drilled holes for weather proofing you are bonding it on anyway!
Because the lip "collects" water on the bootlid, (I assume), I didnt want to drill holes, and as there would be little drag, I thought bonding it would make more sense... Id be running outside to soak up the water after some rain on the bootlid. Something for Tyron to look forward to

It's a good enough excuse as any to go have a ***mph blast aye mate
Or quick rethink, just leave a little 1/2" gap in the middle when sealing for the water to run through and off the boot lid
I did think about that,(a bonded slot) but the water will form a skin in the slot and stays in place. You would need to put a thick bond on to allow water though I think and it wouldnt sit right then

You'd be surprised Cliff,it would only need around 2mm[height] to allow water to drain off mate.
You could always do 2 or 3 of them across the length of the spoiler
I think I have ruined the car Ty..........................................how will the panels not painted stand up against this
That's a fantastic job as I said to you earlier when we spoke but I had only viewed it on my S3 and it looked good on there, but having viewed it now on a decent sized screen I am even more impressed.
