Breitling do make quartz watches, the automatic ones are the most desirable though,I wouldn't have a quartz one.

The problem with buying such an item used is you will always wonder, no matter how many experts have checked it, whether its real. I pondered it for years, then just bought new. Its the only way to be CERTAIN in my opinion.

I think I'd be happy if the watch manufacturer certified it was genuine

Me too, have you asked a price for Breitling to do it themselves, and a timeframe?

I'm not that keen on the watch tbh. Too small. Worth remembering though for when I find a nice aerospace

Hmmm.... There are some amazing replicas nowadays.....

Dunno if I'd believe a trained chimp at Fraser hart's counter.... They're usually minimum wage monkeys who know less than their knowledgable customers.....

However , discard my comment if you had their watchmaker look at it (if they had such a thing)

well funny as the trained chimp at plymouths fraser hart is a breitling specialist as each breitling dealer has to be to sell the watches.

My £110 Casio keeps time to less than a second. Dont see much point in throwing any more cash away.

Very big models, there's quite a few different ones too.

Which model is it? Care to show some pics?

To sell Breitling you have to send a salesperson on a one day course. Great training but doesn't make them an expert unfortunately!

I use independent specialists personally. They tend to value your custom more.

All IMHO of course!

You mean the crown? It's usually on a threaded tube.

Best bet is go to a watch hut, market stall or whatever.

If you go to a dealer, the urban legend is that they don't have to give it you back if it's fake (copyright and intellectual property issues)

If its fake, is it worth paying to repair it though?

its a class looking watch , and everyone would say its real. My problem is (with the kenitic winding) is as i dont wear it alot to keep it good so it stops . Then i have to wait untill the time matches what my watch says and start shaking ! lol , mostly i just wear it with the wrong time , THEN i tell people its fake if they ask the time !

i have been going in circles trying to find spares. Even if i did find a spare "crown" and the pin that is attached , would it just clip back in ?
