I One quetion I do have is whether insurance companies recognise it as a tracking device. My insurers don't mention brands or anything else, they just say it has to have a tracking device fitted.I'm assuming it's fine.

Also - if you do not top up the credits, is it still acting as a tracker and trackable, or is the service basically inactive? I need to know if I am still covered if I am not paying - ie will they still track the car in case of theft if you then activate it for example?
thanks!

If you're not paying for the service why on earth would they want to help you in the event of a theft.

I am paid up at present - thought it's unclear even from reading the posts here whther it's monitored remotely or you just rely on texts etc..

I just read somewhere that some people believe if it's not a monitored service you can chose to simply activate it in the event of a theft and hopefully locate it.

Not something I would want to do - but just asking the question.

Its not a monitored service as such.

If the car isn't happy about something, then it'll text you - if you have credits
You can reactive the service, but you'd have to pay a fee to do so, then probably topup to get it to text you

Likewise, I was told I had to pay after year 1... suppose I'll find out in September.
What does Tony know that we don't

The site tells me bugger all
It always says 100 credits remaining.

You'd think they're would be some kind of transactional information to show you when/what a credit was used for

when I log in it tells me when I've used mine.

if you login, then click communications menu.. then click.. add communication... then click on the 100 (the credits) that take you to a page saying what's been used... expired credits/dates and your current subscription credits with subscription date.

Just to confirm here's mine, although the way it's listed is pretty poor as the credits used are actually spread over the three years but there is a section that gives date used........
