Car is now at the garage time scale on getting it back is a bit of an unknown given the list of parts im getting fitted and how much could go wrong etc. few days i'd say.

when i left it, it looked like this... with the lights refitted.

also sorted a new set of wheels... think these ones will really devide opinion, but this is what they look like right now, its NOT how they will stay... :P

think a lot will depend on the colour i pick, tyres sizes and how i get the car sat. ive either made a brave choice, or a stupid mistake. time will tell. haha.

cheers bud.

wheel choice for me, is picking something ive not seen done before and trying to make it work. im getting these custom drilled to 5x100 and then painted in a yet to be decided colour.

these wheels are pretty rare now and given the fact they dont fit and the 3 spoke scene died before this car was even made, means its unlikely its been done before. 3 spokes may have been, but this exact wheel and size etc, i would imagine not.

would be easy to walk into a shop and pick up some xxr's or rota's, but then it would just look the same as pretty much every other impreza...

Like the lights a lot. not keen on wheelchoice though. think a set of summit like porsche twists off the 993 would be nice and different. summit like these

aye, the wheels i had one were porsche ones though, so didnt fancy going from one to the other. we'll see, i might just fix these wheels up and ship them off. im not 100% i just got them cheap enough for it to not matter really.

Cheers olly. that was my old pride and joy. won me show my ride in golf+ twice (meguiars cleaning kits), and its claim to fame is that the month after, the passat estate next to it was a feature car in PVW. But after selling my bug wrx to fund this little project, i missed it so much i had to sell to get another impreza.

Fair enough if they were cheap enough steve, why not try them, if not liked then change. But i remember goin back around two years there was a green classic wagon going about here with 3 spokes and they just didnt do the car justice.

went across and had a look at the car today, made me sad looking sorry for itself with standard wheels on. also added some powerflex bumpstops to the original coilover bumpstops to stop the arches coming down on the tyres when im cornering. meaning i can go a bit lower or atleast get it sitting how i want it. but for now it means the front end is sitting up too high (the rear ones are getting fitted next week)

took a few pics of it so we can all feel sorry for it

Went across and picked up the wheels today, they look good! Not badly curbed or anything. Gunna try and get them dropped off for redrilling tomorrow.

Also as money is tight, I'm spraying the fog covers myself.

Cleverest tyre value ever?

Also gave a quick rattle can to one wheel to see how it looks...

thoughts?

Painted 2 wheels up, but not happy with either colour tbh. Gunna have a head scratch and see what I come up with.

Also dropped my wheels off for redrilling, should get them back early next week.

got the fog covers fully painted up and got some stickers on them for the minute. not sure if they'll be staying, but wanted to give them a try.

these also arrived finaly! got them split down and gunna go off and get some paint for them when i get the car back... LATER TODAY! only been gone 10 days! :/ :/

gunna give the car a good clean when i get it back and if its still light out... get some pics...

heat them up to split them and then heat them up to reseal them. as long as the glue is hot / warm when resealing, they will be spot on. i took no care at all over mine and they are fine.

took a few pics of the car while it was mildly clean. happy with how it looks tbh...

but then i got a text to say the wheels were finished being redrilled and i got pretty excited. headed down and gave one a quick trial fit, then came home and gave them a proper try.

not as much poke as i was after, but i think a little 10mm spacer will sort that out.

still not picked a colour yet though... although, im thinking one of these?

No offence, but I really think you have **** poor taste and are in need of some inspiration mate, so I have posted a couple of links.

The first one features the ultimate Wagon:

https://www.scoobynet.com/projects-4...n-project.html

The second will hopefully provide you with some ideas and help to exorcise the three spokes from your mind:

Hahaha.

I've seen both those threads, neither interest me.

Maybe putting something that will be running low power and stanced shouldn't be on here, but some of these replies have amused me.

3 spokes are not only coming back, they never really left with wheels like advans still fetching silly money. Just cause you don't get what I'm doing doesn't mean its wrong. Lol.

I'm allowed to own an Impreza and not give a **** if it handles well and how fast it goes. Ha.

Anyway, this made me giggle.
