went across and met up with a lad i had randomly bumped into who told me he had some parts for sale. turns out he worked with my dad and maybe because of this, i got what i would consider a very good deal...
got them back and set about putting them on...
first was the gear **** and gear surround. was gunna keep the sti one as i had just bought it, but the new one matched better and is also weighted for a slightly improved gear change...
then i set about putting both ends of the strut brace on to see how it fitted (left the middle out to remove the intercooler)
then for the second time in two days, took the intercooler out... and got the hoses fitted...
then put the middle section of the strut brace in and tightened everything up...
tomorrow is exhaust and coilovers... if all goes to plan... which... it may not.

so, my lambda sensor was seized tight, so took it to a local friendly garage and they got some heat on it and got it off for a few quid.
then drove to my mates garage to set about taking the old one off...
couldnt resist a few pics... :P
then...
the new one was not a fun thing to fit by myself, but after some cuts, some sweating and a lot of foul language it was on!
went back to the garage they kindly refitted my sensor and job done!
i also got a package this morning, so when i got home... i...
so i now have a shift light and buzzer!
i have also sorted a set of wheels for it, but... thats a story for another day...

im not actualy sure on the brand as i bought them off someone on ebay... theyre height and damping adjustable, so not cheap crap.
nah, itll be getting mapped soon, its running well though, if it were running horrible, i would be more worried about mapping it.
aye, its fairly low, but i dont catch anything. not out on the road, not at speed, not getting on and off the drive, so...

cheers lads. i wasnt even meant to be modding this one, i just got a bit carried away...
tried the wheels on today to see how they fitted. the fronts will need some smaller adaptors, but the rears sit pretty well...

so, the wheels were never gunna fit with the adaptors i had, so after talking to johannes at http://arctic-ltd.co.uk/cont.html i got the 20mm adaptors machined down to 15mm for the front and ordered some 20mm for the back.
this meant grinding the 20 studs down on my car and and also grinding down the nuts themselves. although sounding stupid, all was done within what the car could tollerate, or what we believe it could.
i also fitted the downpipe and decat section to replace the one i had.
aswell as dialing in more camber on the rear.
im going back to get about 3mm taken off the rears to get them exactly where i want them, and am also getting the arches rolled tomorrow morning. this should get everything right out the way and stop and unwanted arch damage or scraping etc.
didnt get many pics from today as it was pretty full on. but, got one or two and washed it when i got home to see how it looked...
more pics to follow tomorrow...

nah, couple of screws and about 5 minutes. dont even need to remove the steering wheel.
just plug and play, so no warning lights etc.
then when the car is stopped still, turn the dial to where you want your buzzer and warning light and away you go.
well worth doing as the wrx's turbo runs out of steam about 6000 and you wanna change gear without having to stare at your clocks and not the road.

went across to get the arches rolled...
]
got it done without any major drama...
then took it for a quick picture or two...
not edited to the pictures or anything. just pulled up and snapped.
then took the car to get a nice exterior wash and dry, so its looking good atm.
thoughts?

few small updates as ive been lazy and not done much! lol.
got a turbo nappy, spark plugs and some heat wrap to try and sort the cooling. keep the bay chilled!
spark plugs arent ideally located, but didnt encounter too many problems as i was doing it.
turbo nappy, well, i fitted it and took it for a test drive, but...
1. it was catching the steering rack something rotten and made driving it **** and...
2. it smoke heavily, which i wasnt told about, so i panicked and removed it. i have since learned, it will smoke when you first fit it, so, ill put it back on! lol.
car is running a whole lot better on the new plugs.
hoping to get the car up a height soon, to get the downpipe wrapped up!
im also thinking about vents somewhere... :/ which i dont like the idea of looks wise, but, the bay is just so hot! haha. want cold intake temps!
whilst this was happening, i got a tinted sunstrip fitted, just, for glare and what not, not really for looks. just had a few scary moments flying round a bend at speed and being blinded.
so, i got bored and, a bit daring given the fact that the car is going into the bodyshop on monday and decided to get the hacksaw out for a bit...
bit of sanding and about an hour and i had achieved this...

well after months of not very much happening i finally got back onto this... sorted my plans and set about buying parts for it etc...
then... it was stolen. from outside my house, after a few hours of driving around, i found the car myself and took it to my dads.
because im not sure of the damage ive done, the car is getting a FULL service, plus the other things i had planned.
pictures tomorrow...

my car was stolen from off my drive outside my house. i was woken at 02:30 by the sound of an impreza flying past my window. at the time i jsut shrugged it off, but in the morning, when i opened my garage and found an empty driveway, i realised it was mine.
whilst waiting 2 hours for the police, i found that my tracking device was not subscribed to which meant they would not help locate my car and i was NOT covered by my insurance, not a single penny.
after wasting my time with a policeman that was very upfront about the fact he would be little to no help in finding my car, i went for a drive around my local area for about a 2 mile radius and just as i was giving up hope... i found it. not the police, me. i then rang the police and informed them of my detective work.
i warmed the engine, then drove the car to my dads house, quite aggresively and it seems fine. i had reset my trip counter the night before and can be pretty sure they covered about 6 miles.
because of this, i have made the decision to replace nearly all service parts, disks and pads, all fluids, etc etc. with a mixture of over the counter parts and aftermarket ones. namely, royal purple gearbox and diff oil, millers race engine oil, another k&n oil filter, yellow stuff pads.
im also stepping up my attempts to sell my wheels and trying to move on!
this is exactly where i found my car, only, i have popped the bonnet and opened the door...
walking around the car i found they had popped my bumper off a bit... which i fixed my punching it...
my vf35!
and finally the parts i have so far... still waiting on my doorlocks, pads and oil filter, gearbox oil, inlet manifold and a few other things...
so yeah, been eventful and really ****ing expensive, but i should end up with a better car... so...

Looks good mate can't believe you found it after being stolen fair play to ya mate your very lucky they didn't torch it sounds silly but I found a cheap and effective thing to have is a baby monitor put one inside your car and one next to your bed so if they get into it you will hear them cheap and effective lol

cheers lads, im keeping the same look, but obviously just changing wheels to change the look.
i explained it to a friend like 'a lass that was raped wouldnt wear that outfit again, so i need to change how it looks'
he said i was an arsehole.
but i think i have a point. lol.
wheels, tyres, adaptors and shorter wheel studs, £600 which is half what i was asking before the car was stolen and a fraction of how much they stand me. for that price i will also be repolishing the dishes to a near mirror finish.

Well, over the past week I've been collecting parts and the pile just keeps getting bigger.
Pretty much all the parts I need have arrived now, although god knows how long it'll take to fit it all! Lol.
Inlet manifold, fog covers, ebc reds, k&n oil filter, full steering collum and locks, timing belt kit and water pump, royal purple gearbox and diff oil, wheel studs, x4 wheel barings, caliper paint, powerflex bumpstops, wind deflectors, radiator cap, engine oil, power steering fluid, coolant, brake discs, brake fluid and cabin filter.
Also went across and took the rear lights out as I have an idea... Ran the car for ten minutes and it still seems spot on.
