Williams Motorsport built my 2.5, spot on build very quiet and with their own forged rods.

Andy is also a really good guy to deal with and will do a good job to your budget.

AND,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, So does API.

Equally: so does Scoobyclinic. So does RCM to all the above claims comments.

It is what you have to have if you want to do the job right. The equipment and services are necessary, So it figures - all the serious engine tuners have the right kt

It's very nice to hear that we're all well equipped to deal with whatever our customers throw at us!
I think Apostle meant to say that we map our own engines, rather than have anyone else come in to do it.
I'd say he was just making a statement, not passing comment on anyone else.
As businesses I'm sure we all strive to make the best decisions on behalf of our customers as to who does what.

How do you come to that conclusion? Nick has carried out just about everything there is to do on my car over time apart from a rebuild, and thats only because I have not had the need to go down that road yet. I know plenty of people who have used him for rebuilds, seen his work first hand, seen his setup and facilities and seen the end product and results. But just because I have not had mine done my self my advice is limited, nice one

You have not had a rebuild by advanced so your advice is limited. My point stands - it's not hard to understand really.

I do have experience there, however, I will only give positive recommendations (and these are my opinions deriving from my direct experience) and on that basis I would recommend RCM, API /CPA, and ZEN (in the old full service days).

I have no experience of Engine Tuner or others

Default Car at APi

Just wanted to say another round of thanks to all the good people who replied to my original post. An encouraging thing is it sounds like there are several people who are highly thought of and recommended by the good folks in the Subaru community.
In the end I decided to take my car to APi, not to particularly favour them above any of the other highly recommended people, but just by virtue of the fact that there were a lot of people who suggested them, and they are the nearest to me!.......
The car is there now, so I'll keep you posted as the rebuild progresses.

Default APi call back.

Yes, I hope so, my only comment so far is that their communication is not so hot, to get to speak to anyone I have to make multiple phone calls, and then whenever I'm promised a call back it never happens.
I know it's difficult at times, we actually do engine rebuilds ourselves in my own business, so I know the difficulties of time, but there is still a need to be attentive to customers, and keeping them informed as to what is going on with their vehicles or engines is important.
Hopefully as they get deeper into the rebuild and my relationship with them grows, things on the communication front will improve.

You will find this with all the big outfits, that's why I choose to use smaller specialists who are highly reputable. Nothing against the likes of API who are highly reputable, but I find I get better attention from the smaller specialists.

or are your reccomendations for all built engines no matter what displacement?

API is a good choice. Congrats. Email correspondance is usually best. Rest assured that David will get the build done, and done right.

Dunno about this, The only engine we have here from Hertfordshire is from Superformance Motorsport - is that you ?

I believe that Simon from here spoke to someone at Superformance late last week? If you leave a message to me to call you back I always do, as soon as I can.

So apologies if I have missed something important.
