A little girl who has problems attaching to females due to abuse would be ideal in this situation.

Also, older kids that might not get placed with a 'normal' family. Or even sibling groups who often find it hard to get a mum and dad.

I'm pretty sure same sex couples would not get babies and under 2s (where there is most demand).

Surely with these 3 examples, it's better they are in a loving home rather that the care system for the rest of their lives.

The question is, why shouldn't they be allowed to adopt a child. Why should sexual orientation matter in the child's upbringing, aslong as it is well cared for and loved.

As far as I am concerned it is evidently clear that humanity is male & female, therefore this would logically lead us to accept that there is a distinct physiological and overriding biological purpose behind this - Procreation!

Personally I do not agree with gay relationships, although I do have gay friends.

Even though I accept my gay friends it does not mean that I have to be in 'agreement' with their chosen sexual orientation. Mutual acceptance (not tolerance) of people can prevail even though one may not agree with other individuals chosen way of life.

I also know people who take drugs, get into trouble with the law on a regular basis, individuals who mistreat their partner or people who are more than capable of working a regular job but choose to live on benefits.

I still accept them as fellow human beings but completely disagree with their chosen way of life.

Also I think we must always be aware that we all live in 'glass houses' with the proverbial sign 'do not throw stones'

Yes, only straight relationships are valid because they produce children, lets disregard infertile people and the elderly, the orphanages are not full yet and the world is desperate for more children.

We knew my cousin was a lesbian from her being a very young age, way before she would be thinking about sex/ partners, it was just a given.

Also had a lad in my class at infants and junior school, Gary, known to everyone as Gay Gary because he wanted to play skipping with the girls or hold hands with the dinner ladies, would squeal if someone kicked a football near him and was very effeminate. At that age I very much doubt if any of us knew what hetro sex involved let alone gay sex.

So how could a young child, with no interest at all in sexual relationships, choose to be gay? You might think it's an un-natural act but the people themselves are definitely 'natural'.
