wise move,tbh it looks like its a type r shell made up of all different parts from other cars(probably not sti),different paint etc,i think you have just avoided a real heap of s**t.

Looks like a WRX type R to me. As 99greenwagon notes, ABS doesn't work with the STi type R diff and driveshafts, and abs is almost certainly not going to be retrofitted!

Looks like you've abandoned it, but out of interest the gearbox codes would be:

WRX type R v3/v4 and WRX v-ltd - TY752VB5BA
STi type R v3/v4 - TY752VB5CA (DCCD equipped + open front diff)
STi type R v4 v-ltd - TY752VB6EA (DCCD equipped + helical LSD front)

Perhaps the OP could nick its sparkplugs before sacking it off?

use the search feature on here and look at early classic import engine failures etc.
