Fantastic work, I know exactly what you mean about the response you get, my Brothers ex did a similar thing for my nan a few years back, and she was in tears when she saw it, it was an old battered photo pre war I believe, and the only existing one left with her nan in it, so my great great granny. It has a similar end result to yours.

I'm fascinated by this and congratulations on your work. My own sob story is that my dad died over 60 years ago when I was 6 months old and to have a decent picture of him would be an absolute gift for both me and my own children

I get paid £25 an hour for these pics and they take 4 - 5 hours each.
I have done many but it's a personal thing to whoever pays me so I don't post them up.
Behind class in a frame they look as though the photo was taken last week, and I think that's the bit that shocks the person receiving it.
The images in forums dont paint true pictures.
