hell of a car you got there andy
can i ask what you have done to the underside of the car in terms of aero to achieve the 200mph? looks like the big hole in the boot pics will create alot of unwanted drag....

Update time
Set off for our first 'proper' event at Shakespeare raceway on the 20th April only to find out once we got 350 miles down the road that it was cancelled. The weekend was not wasted though as Clive and Paul had kindly offered to store the racecar and trailer whilst we went and done the London sightseeing tour. As we headed back up to little Pauls to pick up the car again, the trusty X5 tow car decided to pump all 9 ltrs of transmission fluid onto the road. An oil cooler fitting had failed. Long story short and we eventually ended up with a rental car, the X5 being recovered courtesy of the AA......and the race car and trailer stranded in Peterborough.
The X5 didn't want to play ball and the repair took longer than expected, including ejecting its next fresh fill of (£200 worth) of BMW's 'special' transmission fluid when the new oil fitting also failed.
We eventually got it up and running last week and set off on the 600 mile round trip to collect the car from Clive on Saturday morning. There was a RWYB on at the Pod which was less than an hour away so we headed there so it wasn't a totally wasted journey.
Well aware that the track is not normally glued up for these events we didn't expect too much. The car was on a brand new set of slicks and the unprepped track temperature was 5 deg C.
We done 1 low boost run in the morning just to scrub in the new tyres and warm up the transmission, all went to plan, bit squirmy off the line but a steady 9.7@147mph
Then it rained for 1 minute but as it was so cold, the track crew then spent the next hour drying the track........ then came a heavy hail shower, 2 hrs drying the track and it looked like more dark clouds on the way so no more pussying around on low boost I turned it up to Cal 6 which is 0.8 bar 1st gear, 1.5 bar 2nd gear and 1.8 bar 3rd upwards, dyno said circa 940bhp at that boost.
Roll up to the burnout box, drive past the side to keep the fronts dry, reverse back into the water and wait to be called forwards....... start running through the next bit in your head, how hard can it be, just zoom down the track....
Gets the wave from the starter, launch control switch off, diff lock to open, front handbrake on, revs, more revs and then clutch out, carefull not too quickly on this ultralight flywheel or she will just stall instantly, not too slow or you melt the clutch, ok, keep it off the limiter, watch for some tyre smoke, too late she's crawling forward as the cold fronts just slide, back out of it before you hit the start guy........ Ok that was easy. Waaaay too short a burnout to warm the tyres but lets go anyway, Launch control on, diff lock to auto, pull forward to pre stage, load up on handbrake to save transmission shunt, increase revs into lauch zone forward to 2nd light on, yellows flash then it goes Green........but plenty of time here as its not a race, deeper into the throttle, hear the boost build, controlled off the clutch and brake at same time and we're off.....exit stage right, ooops, back out a bit, back on again and we're on the limiter, flatshift into 2nd and we're on the limiter again but feeling some proper forward G force so give it half a second or so and flatshift into 3rd and it hooks up proper this time and I think "F*** me" at the whack in the back as the shift light is already on, pull the stick for 4th and BANG we slow down, no power, half the dash lights out, not even at midtrack but we freewheel down the track and across the line for a 12.0@74mph

Pull off into the return road, switch the ign off/on and she starts up and runs fine, trundle back to the pits and the datalog shows that the (new) Alternator was charging at anything up to 20 volts, Syvecs said NO and shut it down with a bang! Then the heavens opened and it was back on the trailer.
Logs showed 0-60 =2.2 seconds including the lift off to straighten her up, 0-100 = 4.0 which included 0.8 seconds of sitting on the limiter due to me being taken by surprise and not being quick enough pulling the lever! The interesting bit was she actually ran 2 bar in 3rd, overboosting slightly due to the very low air temperatures compared to when setting up the wastegate on the dyno, so I now know what 1000bhp feels like in 1000kg if only for 1 second lol............I like it very much!
