Its a mix. The block is brushed heatproof black, the heads sprayed Halfords Aluminium and the cam covers are sprayed Ford Azure Blue then coated with petrol resistant laquer.

Andy, would I be right to assume that the 6 cylinder's have 4 cams?
If so, how are the inlet(?) cams controlled, since the cambelt only covers to the 2 lower cams.

Fuel system re installed and ready to go!

Also got the engine built and back in and fired up, all seems well, sounding really 'crisp' and very keen to rev on the new cams, new exhaust and billet 30's
Pic from earlier in the week!

Engine now up and running with new ultralight flywheel, 7.25" racing clutch, revised cams, billeted turbos, 2k bhp fuel system, DW injectors.

Also relocated the radiator for the 1000th time, yet another odd location, this time it sits horizontal, underneath last years (soon to be upgraded) intercooler but seems to work well, max of 70 deg with 14 deg ambient. A variation on the V mount, this is an L mount

Now that the engine revs so quickly and the gear ratios are so close (into 4th gear in under 4 seconds) trying to hit the shift point spot on each time is tricky, enter the BIG tacho !

This build is on the pegged block, the closed deck block has now been bored, decked and 14mm studs drilled but didn't make it in time for this build. It will have a mid season upgrade if I don't make 200mph at Marham on the 18th!

Twin billet 30R turbos from Scoobyclinic. Its a 6 speed Modena sequential. An auto would be quicker for the dragstrip but not so much fun and they sound 'dull' lol

The runway is 1.5 miles, what sort of braking distance are you expecting when you hit 200mph

Hope to do it in under 1 mile Steve
Aero drag will bring it quickly down to 160 then hit the pedal as I know it can stand it on its nose from there.
Limited choice of fuels on the ID2000's Martyn, that's their one and only issue!

Went to my local 'conservative' dyno on Friday and made 1010.5 bhp and 860 lbft torque. Boost was 1.6 bar midrange and rising to 2.0 bar from 6000 rpm (to limit midrange torque)
The turbos just wanted to take off, even at this level it was gaining over 30bhp per 0.1 bar boost with +3% wastegate duty. My poor open deck pegged block must be creaking a bit at 2 bar so I stopped there.....for now! (closed deck block is nearly ready to build)
On the street tune I had done at 1.2-1.3 bar it dyno'd at 777bhp and 665lbft, that was pretty much on the button as I only managed to get a measly 3bhp more with further tuning at that boost.
The max I plan to use on the track with this block will be 1.5 rising to 1.8 bar where it made 945.5 bhp and 825 lbft torque.
Fuel was scottimax version 2
No methanol is used in this version.
I had planned to test the 150bhp N2O kit but with circa 150-200bhp still to come from the turbos and already seeing 1.2 bar at 3700rpm (which spins the wheels up 1,2 and 3rd) there really was no point!
At this level in a sub 1000kg car, for the first time in my life I can honestly say I don't need anymore bhp !!
