I thought it was a pac-a-mac!!!! God damn!!!
Thanks Mickster, I think it's probably the right choice, although I do keep looking back at the v3/4 grill
I've been called worse

So, my updated list of bits to do:
1. Refurb and fit front 4 pots
2. Fit Exhaust system
3. Roll arches
4. Clean and seal arches
5. spray work (front bumper/fog covers/22b vents/skirts/splash guards/splitter)
6. remove rad fan surround and shave/cut down for better FMIC pipework fitment
7. Tax/MOT/insure
8. I'm sure there's more, I forget now!!

Cliff there's another plate option worth considering as well you can go for import size lettering which is a lot smaller than UK and then cut the front plate down to a sensible size around it, then I would mount it in the OEM place, you could angle it in at the base a touch to direct air flow down, yes it's a partial compromise on air flow but I feel it's where the plate works visually the best.

Hi what wheels are on the grey subaru? Looking for something like that on mine.

Are you finding you have got rubbing on the rear arches there to make you have them rolled as I never has any issue on my old one or is it just for safety sake.

I went for a slightly risky offset of ET42, coupled with 8" wide, so the tyres will probably catch the arches, I always knew they would and an arch roll was part of the plan

Yep understand now Cliff you will need to roll them I think running that set up, I thought they looked different but assumed it was because of the colour making an illusion.
What's the exhaust idea there volume wise ? and jap finish with the angled exit or a larger box with more a uk look ?

I might bin both though and buy new, nice and shiny, large angled exit, my mind changes constantly on this one

I'm not cool enough Frayz
I feel my cars rear end needs beefing up, hence a big wide angled pipe could be the answer, but as I say, not sure about anything yet, I think I'll get there last

Just to give you an idea Cliff this is a pic of the HKS Silent HiPower I had fitted on my old one.... I liked it so much not only visually but for the sound as well it is exactly what I will be putting on the RA also. They also do other versions which are louder but are the same style more or less.

The other pipe which also gives the Jap look are this APS brand, "air power systems" I don't see so many around but they look great also.

Whatever you get don't worry if it looks a little scabby I can help you out with advice a few bits to get it back up to the level I know you want.

Both of those systems look perfect, except for price. My budget car just isn't allowed such extravagance
I was looking at the Japspeed system offered on here for £220 ish, delivered, but I'm not sure if it's an angled exit or not and what i sounds like?!

5 in total as there one that covers the rear tunnel. Right place right time a couple of weeks ago on here.

That looks fantastic, I'd be interested in seeing a rear end shot if you have one?

Today I decided it was time to look at the 4 pots I bought off my mate Paul last year.
I quickly realised they do need a rebuild, and so I've started

It literally took me hours to get the seized and rusted pistons out of these buggers!!!!!!!!!

But they didn't look too bad after a clean up....

Next it was time to give the discs a good clean up and lose the surface rust...

and now they look better already after a wire wool session....

but time and coldness beat me tonight, so I just got time to prime the centre of the discs, ready for some fresh black paint (they were dark blue)..

and so it continues

Good work Cliff, did you use molegrips on those pistons? Godspeed have done me a couple of good deals on new non-stainless and I got the rest (Seals/Pins/Cast Seals) from scoobyworx.

I'm trying to decide what to do next, seal kit or full pistons and seal kit?!!
Full pistons/seal kit is what I'd recommend mate. If you look on the side of one of your pistons there's a slight pitting, if you imagine that going over the seal it will perish the rubber.

Brembos are a direct bolt on swap mate. New discs are required but the set can normally be found on eBay or a breakers for sub £500. The improvement is massive. Keep your eyes open or ask a breakers for a price. Certainly worth considering if its financially viable for you before paying out to refurb the stock 4 pots.
Just a heads up.

It's a fair heads up Frayz, and if this was my previous Skyline I'd do it (the GTR had 8 pot Ksport with 356mm discs) but it's a budget build and I want it back on the road now.
The 4pot seal kit will cost £110 (approx.) and I have very good discs and pads already.
If I now buy Brembos, I need to find around £400-500, and considering my 4 pots need a Refurb, they're not worth much at all as they are to recoup the outlay sadly.
