White Classic WRX - on a budget

White Classic WRX - on a budget
Hey all,
This is my 6th Impreza, I fully intend on making this one my best ever
Here is a brief history of my cars........
1st Impreza - BUGEYE WRX (owned 2002-2003)
2nd - Classic UK turbo 2000 Wagon (2003)
3rd - Classic UK turbo 2000 (2003-2004)
4th - Bugeye WRX (2004-2006)
I then had a break from Subaru world and went down another route.........
Mitsubishi Evo 6 (2006-2008)
...and then..... my favourite ever car!!!!!!!!
Nissan Skyline R33 GTR (Jan 2008- Nov 2011)
But, after nearly 4 years, I decided to sell up and come back to the Impreza scene, build myself a decent classic.
I bought an STi version 5, it didn't work out very well and got sold after less than 2 months!!!!! Too much rust and a dead clutch killed my love, it was uneconomical to repair and I sold it on!!
....and then, after a huge search, many many enquiries, wasted trips and diesel costs to see "mint" cars which were anything but, I finally went to see Dylan in Wales (DYL 4N on Scoobynet).
Immediately I knew this was my car and with thanks to Paulo P, we brought it home to High Wycombe through the snow and sleet (4/2/12) and I'm over the moon with my purchase
The Car
The pictures:
My plans include:
Refit sideskirts
Front mount intercooler
Decat downpipe
99/00 front bumper
P1 splitter
Sti Fog covers
22B bonnet vents
RA roof flap
Different alloys (undecided which ones)
Coilover suspension
Gauges (oil/water/boost)
Reasonable power (330ish)
+much more
It'll be a slow project, but this one's a keeper
Thanks for reading.

Thanks James, we'll talk one day about your old wheel set-up, I'm interested in the offset and width etc on your old RA as those wheels sat perfect

Great Cliff will be good to see how this evolves. I notice you have not mentioned a different boot spoiler there... I like the version 4 that you have on it already and it will be good to see that remain. I have to say I quite like it without the side skirts as well
I have to say your bug was a fine looking car I remember that still... skyline looked brilliant to at Uxbridge last year.

I keep thinking about the side skirts but I feel I need to refit them before I can make my mind up properly. It's also the holes on the sills which have to be dealt with that I think about, plus I'd need to remove the rear spats, then would the rear bumper need a respray?
Many questions
I'm quite happy with the V4 rear spoiler, I'm not ruiling out a 5/6 version, but it's definitely not on my mind yet
The Skyline was my best car ever, it completely blew away my Blue Bugeye and every Impreza I had to be honest. I know this will maybe never be as good either, but I will make it a much better car either way

I hate you Mags!!!!
I've promised Angie I won't spend any money on the car until April when our holiday is done and dusted, then and only then can I properly get my show on the road!!!
Mark my words though Mags, I'll be down to see you, we've got to stance this car properly

We drove it back from Wales (to Bucks) but it hasn't moved since and won't for a while. I hadn't realised that part was missing until I contacted the guy I bought it from to see if he had the side skirt fixings, and then he mentioned it Should be on route to me this week Good spot that!!!

Thanks again Dylan I can't tell you how excited I am by this car
I finally took some of my own photos today, not scenic but they do show just how clean this car is.
HERE GOES THEN!!!!...............
You'll notice I'm testing out my new 22b vents, I think I'll love them once sprayed up.
Check out the arches, the cleanest I've seen in my search for the right car, you may even notice the flare is still in place in the passenger footwell

No, they were as they are now! They wouldn't clear Brembos so Dylan said he'd have them I think the vents will go better with the P1 front end, they don't go with the prefacelift front !
