I've added the updates so far for this week. The biggest suprise was receiving the phone from Nationwide before the report was available.

I'll be impressed if the wing is painted, fitted, aligned correctly (along with the rest of the frontend), and the proctective film fitted in 24 hours.

Called Marker Study in the afternoon to chase Engineers report for car. Report was being prepared and would be emailed shortly, it was. As agreed with Marker Study, last week, the report will not be published on the internet. Read report and called Marker Study back to discuss contents, a call from the engineer will be arranged to discuss the report. Informed Marker Study of earlier phone from Nationwide.

OK Rob, I'll let one detail out. After 25,602 miles the tyres still have 4mm of tread left on them

Hi Nigel,

as you know through our communication, we are not impressed with this either. We have raised the issue with the head of claims at Markerstudy.

If you need anything from us, please let us know.

You can PM us via the forum if you wish.

Thanks

Hi Jamo, I hope so to and I do keep being told that it will be restored to its pre-accident state. Currently the pre-accident state of a Subaru Impreza seems to be alluding Marker Study and Nationwide.

So if anyone reading this thread has photos taken at the same angles of an uncrashed MY06 Impreza I would be very interested in seeing and taking a copy if that is OK. Slam panel shots are especially welcome, from above and the side showing this correct shape of this panel.

I'll post the photo request in general as well.

Cheers

Nigel

Where are you based? May be better if someone can actually drive there with their straight car to have a comparison made if possible.

The car is in Wokingham. The comparison sounds like a good idea and I'll bear it in mind. I would prefer not to have to go down that route if it can possibly be helped.

I feel for you as I've gone through a simlair thing with an accident with a policy bought through one of the advertisers on here, but under written by Equity Red Star.
What a bunch of cost cutting cheap incompetants. I've had the same as you panels misaligned, Various electrical issues, general poor repairs, including Car delivered back with brake warning lights on the dash. - Oh we did not see that etc. Very poor panel match etc.
Lol they tried to charge me for petrol to test my car was road worthy !
Its taken me best part of a year to get it to a stage where I can sell the car - this does include a month where I had no courtsey car as they could not collect the car from the depot it got towed to due to weather conditions / gross incompetance.
NO suprise that I would not buy any policy from one of the advertisers in the insurance section again and I'm currently sueing them and Equity Red Star.

Thought it might be easier if I just posted the pics up. I will remove them if it causes a problem. Some pics of my 06 WRX, never had any accidents. Please excuse the dirt!

Hope these help! Good luck. Andy

Thanks Andy, a top set of pictures. Dirty , mine normally has a layer of protective mud collected from various forests around the country.

It's very gracious to call your long list of problems 'similar' to mine, by comparison I think I've been 'lucky' so far.

Updated the first post for today, again not a lot. Got the promised call back from the Engineer to discuss the report. Waiting for the call from Nationwide to say the car is ready.

All insurance underwriters are as bad in my experience - luckily I bought through A-Plan and they helped me with my claims (mainly non-fault!!)

I have to say I've had a couple of bumps, and Keith michaels have been great with me, garage of choice no arguments at all, good service, mind it does help if you get in with moley. They're not all good there but when you have Gary to contact its worth it

I know what you mean Chris, but might just be the angle. Looks like it lines up from front view. May be worth Nigel checking this angle with the bonnet shut when he eventually sees his car next! Lol

Probably a compromise attempting alignment with the good drivers side wing and damaged passengers side wing. The first thing I checked was the alignment of the bonnet with drivers side wing and I'll start there again when I get a second chance to the look at the car.

I'm just thankful the repair was moved to the priority queue and not put back in the normal queue.

Updated first post with today's news that the car is ready for me to inspect tomorrow, fingers crossed it won't be Groundhog Day.

Also glad I'm in the soft south and it will only be -1 in the morning

I will update the thread this evening regarding my visit to Nationwide.

In the meantime could someone recommend a bodyshop in and around the Farnborough (Hampshire) area that can assess the amount of rectification work required to complete a repair and potentially carry out the work required.

Many Thanks
Nigel

Wow. Shocking.

Have they been storing your car outside? Every time the weather gets cold and freezes my bumper washer jets open and stay open till I've warmed the car up. Yours might be a general fit issue though.
