Took a road trip this morning to see a good friend and had a good chin wag but it was mainly to pick up some lovely new engine goodies for the new motor.
Massive thanks mate and it was great to see you again

New 2618 high compression Mahle stroker pistons/RCM ultra torque heads studs and Cosworth stopper gaskets will be landing early next week courtesy of Alyn at AS Perfomance who as usual go's the extra mile to make the transaction a good one, cheers mate

Parts ,79mm nitrated crank, all block seals including dowty washers plus cam seals and valve stem oil seals, basically every seal needed par the HG's.
Oh and some ACL race bearings[big and mains].

The engine will go for machine work later next week after pistons land and I find time to make the trip to Russ.

I had hoped my manifold smoothing days were over but after deciding to change direction on the engine I now needed to smooth the spec-c one piece manifold, set about it this afternoon.
Got most of it done but run out of belt for my sander so that stopped play.

It will over to the metal master after I'm done for a little custom love to fill the holes and make a neater dome on the top

Looking very good mate. I'm going to start mine too next week, and then you'll have a stack of bits winging their way across to you

BTW, and chance of a touch up pot of the white you used for my wheels

I now know why, should get a box of stuff off to you this week but my attempt at hacking the lugs of with an angle grinder might need a little TLC

Picked the manifold up from the metal master and as per he's done a stellar job of welding over the unwanted holes and flushing over the top and this time rather than tapping 1/8th ntp threads into the back of the manifold he's added weld on unions to the back of the manifold which looks awesome.
It's off to Alex at Torques UK tomorrow for a little custom love on the fuel feeds,I'll update on this once the final drawing has been made and we decide exactly what to do
