The Prodrive makeover!!

After getting the last few parts off Ty's car this morning I went down to see Alex at Torques UK to discuss options for the fuel rails and we decided on dry breaks for all 4 ends to aid removing the manifold quickly without dropping fuel everywhere and of course it looks the bollocks

Is it not finished yet
I might need you to speak to you metal master mate as the FPR take-off got damaged when I was smoothing mine. The rest of my amateur blemishes you can hide with high-build

Been a few weeks since I last had chance to work on my own again but I got in the engine bay today and welded/smoothed a few more holes over, need to make a bracket to raise the header up 20mm and drill the hole for the mil spec connector by the clutch master cylinder.
I'm also swapping out the brake master cylinder/servo for Ty's spec-c one as it's meant for cars without ABS and is bigger on both cylinder and servo so should give the brakes a helping hand,it does mean however I have to remake a few of the brake lines but needs must.

Interesting - I didn't realise the Spec-c master cylinder and servo were different - I have no ABS so I may have to look into this
The engine bay is looking tidy - you might have another commission on your hand soon

If you're considering changing an existing newage setup I would certainly check this before parting with cash for parts!

I suspect (but don't actually know) that a newage Spec C master cylinder/servo is the same as newage JDM STi and probably same as newage UK STi as well....but undoubtedly different to those on classics?

So I set about making the mount points for the PAS tank and header tank today,as I couldn't gain access with the drill and rivnut tool I decided to make the piece off the car and fit the rivnuts and weld it in place after, the header tank needed to be raised 20MM to allow abit better clearance for the wiring loom which again I made off the car and welded in place.
Once I had them in place I did a bit of filler work and all was good,I'm now very happy with the bulk head.
Next I finished up the lower tubular cross member and put some etch/stone chip on so par rubbing down the rest of the engine bay it's now ready for paint.
