Thanks again!
You have to get used to them in the beginning, because they can spin your car for sure if you are not careful enough (I had a few awkward moments when I wanted to exit the highway, but having passed a number of cars a few hundred meters beforehand).
A day before my racing lessons we've put Ferodo pads in front and that brought more balance to the whole (and added more stopping power).

Thank you double!
Academic education in English is probably worth it... But I'm a perfectionist in some way + hate typo's myself, thats why I did so.
OT: I'll try to post complete list of parts I am going to install in two weeks. Until now I can only say that the car will probably be mapped on E85 also (among with 98 (and 20% meth maybe)), since there are 3 pumps in my city that supply E85 and besides, who will say no against more ponies?
Offtopic again: Thank you all again for all your reactions, this thread is more alive than the one I have on Dutch Subaru forum (probably because I don't have any *****).

Couple of things, needs a link to the ***** are best forum!!
What's with the in car video of the other "racer"?? Is he driving the ambulance? I've never seen someone so steady on a race track and what a bizzare use (or lack or use) of gears, even changing up mid corner!
Great thread, I've just acquired a rolling shell but don't intend going as far as you, I'm a bit jealous!

Stuff is pretty expensive here indeed. The thing that bother me the most are US prices where they just change $ for €. Ridiculous.

- Sierra Cosworth
- E30
- Porsche 911 old (late 80s I guess) model

- M3 CSL
Owner of CSL towed it every day to the track with his M5 station: like a boss!
There was also a guy who owned an Audi RS6R (MTM tuned) himself, and raced in one of those ridiculous Seats. Then I'm like: Dude, if you drive a 100k car yourself, spent dozens of grands on tuning of it, why not at least hire something decent?
Thank you for the compliment & good luck with your project!
I wasn't planning to go this far either, but some things are inevitable
Edit: some disturbing typos fixed.

Allright guys, no big update on the car but something else...
I have to get things done for my study so... Yep, procrastination time! I wrote something and I would love to receive some comments from you
-again, please don't hit me too hard if there are typos, but let me know so I can fix them, wrote it in one go-
I added some pics too... makes the reading easier
Here it goes :

Some of us often hear this particular question: “aren’t you afraid of driving this way?”
When you’re driving, you forget about everything… the thrill of speed, booming stereo, the road, you and your machine… the other cars on the road, they are nothing more than obstacles, similar to cones on the track, that you must evade… The more experienced driver you are, the faster you can calculate the perfect maneuver to evade the collision…
The perfect maneuver consists out of multiple aspects: your speed, speed of other cars, your acceleration, the possibility of other driver to make an unpredicted move, the temperature of your tires and brakes, the state of the road and much more…
… when your mind collaborates with your brain to calculate the perfect maneuver faster and faster after every successful attempt, you are feeling more successful, in fact you start feeling invincible… As a matter of fact, within a few weeks you run through yellow lights split seconds before they turn red, you pass the other cars as if you are about to hit them with your side mirrors… all these things add even more adrenalin to your body, adrenalin that transforms in the feeling of confidence that may become so strong that will hit you off balance and will cause miscalculations, which in fact may be the introductory chapters of a worst case scenario… Right then you have to stop, otherwise these thrill of speed, adrenalin rush, the vibrations and the sounds of the engine – all of them will shut down your brain and the only things that will be left are feelings, instincts, and not much more, the same characteristics a true racer possesses… but this is not a race and not a race track – this is a city…
At the point when you park your car in front of your house after such a rush, you think about your actions, that were taking place a few moments ago, while you cool down your engine… You sit in the driver’s seat and –while the sweat rolls of your back- think how only ten minutes ago you were speeding on the main road, passing by first car, second, third and how you could hit the fourth one if some small random, but such an important factor would have played a role such as a small amount of sand on the road or your miscalculation of the speed of the other driver… right then, that sweat on your back which was caused by adrenalin becomes the sweat of fear when you make predictions of what could have happened… you become scared, but unfortunately you can do nothing about it…
And the very next day everything happens again and again… You drive way above the speed limits and when you reach your point of destination you tell yourself not to endanger yourself anymore… But as soon as you get back in the car, grab that steering wheel, hear the roar of your engine and the whistle of your turbo – all of these precautions fade away…
Suddenly, fellow speed lover and thrill seeker enters your horizon…
Usually your paths cross when you are driving slowly, but suddenly your attention is grasped by the sound of the engine or exhaust of the other participant… Yes participant, not an opponent, since there is no clear goal…
While you were calm a few moments ago, your condition changes in fraction of a second… you start paying attention on his actions: how much he –or she- is ahead of you or falling behind, without forgetting about the aspects of a perfect maneuver since you need them now more than ever… You and him, two cars, two lanes and suddenly, everything is different… You drive behind him and between your hood and his exhaust is not enough space for another car… His braking pedal is linked to yours and his throttle also somehow cause your rpm’s climb… In a moment you try to pass him on the lane next to you, on the same moment when his acceleration is put on hold by another car in front… You did it, you passed him just before the finish line which is marked by the point where your paths split just as sudden as they crossed in the first place… You signal him with your lights or claxon to show your sign of gratitude for his company and he does the same in return, showing you his respect and understanding, that you are not alone in this big city…

Don't take this too serious!
The speeding pic was taken at 3 o clock at night on an empty highway and the crash pic is the result of this.
All the rest is romanced combination of fiction&reality

Disc survived: the material of the arm is softer than disc's.
I know, I never do anything stupid that may cause harm to the others... when I'm alone on the road and in the car, things are a bit different.

I recently saw a video of the M5 towing that M3 down the motor way. It got into a bad tank slapper, both cars flipped.
I will try find the video for you.

Still cool footage mate.
For the eye at least... not for the heart of a petrolhead...
Thank you!
A little update: I've decided to go for a GT35 instead of a GTX30. Due to "Black Friday Sales" in US the kit will cost me €1.000 less. More hp's for less money = Win-Win situation!

Edit: why can't I change the name of the thread? I could do it first but not anymore

Time for pics!
I visited EMS tuning today to place (hopefully) the last deposit for the engine(ering) costs. I borrowed my girlfriends dslr cam, but I should have spent a few moments beforehand practicing it... so pics turned out a bit blurry. But hey, at least you have something for the weekend...
APS FMIC:
Complete new 2.35 engine, it will be disassembled since we need to place Arrow crank in it (2.5 STI crank chills there now) and convert it to 14mm head studs. Furthermore it has (as already described above) Pauter rods, CP pistons and other modifications already placed.
Perrin GT35 kit... This is however a GTX30 version of it and is someone else's, thats why still wrapped. Of course, I will post pics of mine too, as soon as it arrives.
Oil cooler, again not mine (will be probably slightly bigger), but you get the idea.
6 speed gearbox and Exedy Twin plate clutch.
Cusco engine mounts
Thanks for your attention and enjoy your weekend!

Thanks!
Just received some pics from EMS (shop responsible for the engine build), they received some new parts for my build today:
14mm headstuds vs "stock" 11mm ARP
Arrow crank, this baby will allow me to run up to 9000 RPM!:

Indeed, it is a new one!
I guess I was lucky when I asked what EMS thinks about 2.35 instead of 2.5, then he showed me this baby: it was purchased by another customer but he was darn lazy to finish the build and sold it to me for a ridiculous price.
