Well I've got to make sure it's all working properly. It's very addictive you know, you don't even have to push the peddle that hard and it's like being fired down the road from a catapult. If you shove the lever across to the manual position it puts the auto into sports mode. That makes it start off in 1st instead of 2nd gear and obviously hang on to that gear a bit longer, the traction control light gets some action then.

Yeah sport mode is fun, don't tend to use it too much myself (got a E92 330d auto) but then I find I use manual a bit more as I find in sport mode it still takes too long to drop a gear for an overtake etc so I line it up first by dropping a cog in manual mode.

I'm tempted but keep reading mixed reviews about the potential damage all that torque can do to the gearbox. I spent an absolute fortune last year modding my Skyline and vowed I would keep this standard.

Have you decided what you're doing yet, 535d is my guess.
