Yep, glucosamine sulphate. Usually comes with chondroitin.
Like jef didn't get on with creatine, i've never felt much benefit from glucosamine. But try it. Cod liver oil might work better for you.
But if you're over-doing the exercise, cut down on that before relying on a supplement to fix it.

im no doctor, but quite probably best thing to do is a see a specialist for correct diagnosis.
from a nutrition poinnt of veiw, ive found in the past when using low fat in diets, my joints became painful
i use flaxseed oil or linseed and eat oily fish twice a week in general, and symptoms have stopped. i also suferred excema which also went away after increasing fat levels.
if your intake is low id give it a shot
and reduce any hgh impact excersie on joints, ie drop running for cylcing, rowing ect or weight training lol

I had thought about glucosamine as my brother has been taking it for years (he's a amature mma fighter). He has a few issues with his knee also.
Thanks for a bit of advice anyway

Any knee advice would be guess work.
If it is very painful ask your GP to get you an MRI scan. If you or your partner get private health care you could speed this up.
I recently went to my specialist with knee pain, he thought it was ligaments. Turns out I had cracked my femur near the knee!

Don't be too pre-occupied with what weight you can lift. Concentrate on good form. Generally for strength training do low reps and increment weight up 2.5kg a week at a time until you reach your goal. But do the same exercises for that muscle group each session. This worked for me for everything except for my shoulders, genetically I think I just have weak shoulder. In all my years at the gym, I've never been able to go above 25kg for dumbell shoulder presses. Size and proportion wise they're fine, just don't have the strength there.

Nothing wrong with a bit of submission from time to time.
Back on track though, it's a sort of pulling sensation. They click (have done for years) so do my toes, right hip and fingers. However lately it's like a pulling sensation asbthough the joint needs to click to releive tension.

Yep, Zumba is exactly what would be causing that. Not easy to cut that down without effectively giving it up, but your knees will probably always complain if you keep doing it. Try and find an alternative before it becomes chronic.

Not the same as my problem then. I've got a sort of build up of something hard at the top of my shin bone. Started having problems when I was about 21, believe it or not. Was bending in quite awkward ways (through work) that I just needed to stop. Whatever it is seems to be permanent though, as if I go back to bending at the knee in the wrong way for any length of time, I get the pain again. Apparently it could have got to the stage where it would have caused real problems if I hadn't done something about it.

Not many people actually work on that muscle unless they do leg curls or similar at the gym. Jogging doesn't build it up much, nor does cycling.
Try the leg curls to build the muscles up and see what happens (and no, you don't need to end up like Jodie Wotsherface .... )

Close grip flat bench for triceps / tricep pull downs / over head extentions?
Don't forget about getting plenty or rest as well.

Fair play to Jodie Marsh, I say. I compete myself and I know how difficult the training and dieting is when prepping for a contest. She even has a decent base to start from. At least she's got some direction in her life and is no longer trying to "party" herself into an early grave!
