You appear on the majority of Apple threads stating the same thing so don't bother denying you are anti apple products.
Fine. But why would I want one when I have a smart phone and netbook that does everything I need it to? I don't need to feel 'loved' when browsing online, listening to music and downloading an app, as Jack keeps on stating.

I will have to see if I can find it again, but there was a video comparison on youtube between the iPad 2 and Samsungs Tablet. The load times of every website were considerably faster on the Samsung. Unlike some, I don't just believe what the adverts tell me, I would rather wait and see how the product performs in the real world.

If people honestly buy an Apple product because they like how it looks and what it does then fine, obviously, how could I have a problem with that.

What I do have a problem with is the idiots who think that without the latest Apple item, they will be uncool and inferior. Which is exactly what the adverts are designed to do.

Hmmm I see. Well maybe people need to start taking these Apple discussions a bit more seriously. It's the same as the Islam discussions, they are both religions after all I think a few posts in policy should put it on the SN map and make people realise how much some of these jibes hurt you and your fellow disciples

I struggle to see how this topic is, in any way at all, trolling - whatever that word means!

Amazon is introducing a Tablet - fact

It will be at an amazing price - fact

It may well take sales from the iPad - fact

Amazon is introducing a killer unit in Spring 2012 - fact

OK, this version now may struggle to beat the iPad for spec. - BUT, I suspect it will do everything everyone really wants it to do.

And, Ant, I am genuinely unsure what your Team Apple means ... I assume it means you are employed by Apple, if so, I understand your defence - but I just asked?

How dumb are you 'fella' (sic) ?

I ask because you have repeatedly said you find me arrogant, annoying, feel I don't add anything to the board etc. etc. You have accused me of lying, poked fun at me based on your (incorrect)suppositions and generally told me and the world you don't like me.

Fair enough I think and therefore I suggest we don't interact and stick you on ignore. Yet you repeatedly goad and prod and poke to get a reaction before every time running to the moral high ground claiming somewhat hypocritically that I am the one who is arrogant and adds nothing etc. etc.

Now in my experience if you don't like someone you stay out of their way and ignore them, that way you don't get embroiled in interacting with the very person who rubs you up the wrong way. You on the other hand seem to just want to keep going and I can only end up drawing one conclusion from that!

So for the last time why don't you just see sense and leave it be? I don't mind either way, but for the rest of SN having a b1tchfest every time I post isn't a good thing!

Pete, you might see the version you're bleating about next year, it'll be US only for quite a while. By which time the iPad 3 will be here "changing everything" again.

Each new iPhone is a little like using the phrase "This changes everything" but adding the word "again" on each time. It hasn't "Changed everything" in fact it's the bloody same but a little better.

Companies like Samsung and HTC are pushing the boundaries and making their phones 100% better each time.

*Awaits the obvious comment 'but HTC and Samsung have to make the phones 100% better 'cos their poo'*

I like Apple stuff but I do find the whole thing a little cult-like....mainly the blue shirted people who work in their shops...they are a bit too eager and nice...makes me slightly uncomfortable.

I've got a MacBook Pro and a couple of Ipods. Do I hang on Steve Jobs' every word and make a calendar entry for when the latest IPad comes out? No.

Would I buy another MacBook? Sure. Don't think I would go back to PC's.

I've got a BlackBerry phone though. Does the job.

Where is this queue and how do I buy my way to complete Apple gratification?

I have to admit I do like Apple products as I own an iPhone 4 and iPad 2 and I will purchase a Macbook of some description soon, but I don't buy into the 'cult' of Apple.

I am definitely not a 'fanboy' in the sense that it is applied on Scoobynet, yes I like the products but no I don't buy into the whole 'religion'. I just like to buy products that work well and are well supported by the manufacturer.

Microsoft had a similar aura or zeitgeist thing going on back when Gates launched Windows 95...it wasn't so much different, just I believe Apple have made geeky stuff a bit more sexy and desirable.

...a the end of the day it's just a big machine to sell us ****.

This annoys me. Who on here has the right to suggest another brings 'nothing to the board/forum'? I was accused of it once by someone who was plainly having a bad day/week/time, but I have never forgotten it. Pathetic.

The whole Apple thing is rather vomit inducing treacle isn't it?

I find it attracts a certain type of person ...... which is fine, it makes them 'feel' part of something - gives them a reason for living. Which is a good thing.

I, on the other hand, will continue to resist the Americanism that is the Apple Store.
