at PSL trolling utter boll0cks as usual. Two different markets based on screen size so not a direct competitor for the ipad at all.
Like Tel my ipad is far more used than my laptop/desktop and the netbook got rid of ages ago as it was a waste of money.
I can do all the stuff I need to on the ipad such as secure internet banking, excel spreadsheets and word docs browse the web and play games and do emails as well as a host of apps for playing about with on the move. Never had an issue not being able to play flash so a non issue for me.
I'm not quite sure what it is the anti ipad folk like Gear Head think their wonderful netbooks can do that the ipad/any other tablet can't do?
Instant on and off plus a far superior battery life is why my netbook got sold on and replaced with an ipad. I'm not tied to Apple, if there was a better tablet than the ipad then i'd get that but there simply isn't.

So you think I should buy an iPad when I already have a smart phone, netbook, laptop and desktop pc?
Did I say it was rubbish? No, I just don't see the point when the equipment I have now, in no way restricts my use of IT. Plus I don't have an itunes account.
So again, you really think I should buy one?

It's only a couple of days before Apple "Change Everything" again with iOS5. Now, I'm no fan of voice control because up till now it's been a bit poo, even on Apple devices, but that's about to change. Apple acquired SIRI voice control last year, everyone is about to be blown away by what it can do.

Ipad is a nice piece of kit but not a great deal of use to me, I want less gadgets that do everything, am now on one laptop and a phone, was previously 2 laptops (one work/one home), a phone and a tablet.

Truth. I'll tell you the truth, truth is Apple mobile products have been nothing but astonishing since 2007, they've revolutionised the marketplace and improved the lives of those that use them and by proxy those that don't.
Hope that made you sick

It just isn't normal or healthy in the same way as those 60 odd year old woman who still wet their knickers as they did when they were 13 years old, whenever Cliff Richard makes a public appearance.
Weird.

Jack, will agree that they make some great stuff but not sure how they improve the lives of none converts to the brand, do you mean, my HTC probably wouldnt be as good as it is if the Iphone hadnt existed ? can sort of see that but lets be honest here, they havent cured cancer, instigated world peace or sorted the financial mess out, what they have done is revolutionized the mobile phone and invented a new market with the Ipad (well got the first viable one to market, the concept has existed for a long time).
I think they are a great company and make some brilliant products but I dont get the zealous and frankly a little scary defence of what is a commercial entity that exists mainly to make money and provide income to Shareholders. It's kind of a bit like blokes get with football and people get with religion, people now try to goad you and get a reaction every time, its kind of like baiting the Muslim community which for a while seemed to be a new extreme sport. its like a kid called Dumville at school, so enamoured with a tv character we got into a punch up when a mate of mine dared me to go up to him and say she was "hanging", I will defend my family and myself, I am quite partial to KP Salt and Vinegar Nuts but dont get defensive or agressive if someone says they arent very nice and they prefer Planters Dry Roasted.
Dont rise to it mate,

Wouldn't life be boring if everyone who liked something stated they were "Good", I'm an enthusiastic person, so are my answers. Oh and yes I still have stock and it's doing "Good" hope you bought some at $80 when I suggested it was a "Good" idea, maybe I should have been more enthusiastic.

No, Jack. You just sounded as wacky and extremist as ever. You come across as fanatical in the worst sense of the word. If I ever became so utterly besotted by something as impersonal and detached as a cooperate leviathan such as Apple, I would want someone to tell me.

I have a 3GS, and cant see me paying a £20 supplement per month on top of a normal smartphone contract, unless the net phone wipes my @rse for me. It seems to me that the Samsung and HTC phones have overtaken the iPhone, wll my wifes HTC is better than mine and with half the contract price into the bargain.

Exactly, HTC, Samsung who even heard of their phones before the iPhone, we all used Nokias or Crackberrys. And look at how pretty Laptops are now, they all look like MacBooks.

Apple does seem to be a religion to some people .... I guess in the same way some flock to a football team week in, week out?
I suppose the difference is that a footy match gets you out, you watch masters at the art perform and you cheer with like minded souls ............... with an iPad you sit in the corner with a hard-on looking at the new App.
I suppose we are in a materialistic world where pieces of plastic and metal express your worth?
By the way ... rumour has it that this Kindle Fire is just a stop-gap ... the version due in the shops in Spring 2012 will be the final nail in Apples coffin ...
