Wow over 17.5kgs weight save thats pretty cool! Thats just under 3st, nice.
So if you get 5 buyers the roof will cost £450 and if you want it fitted its an extra £260... total cost fitted £710?
I really wouldnt be confident at fitting it myself and would like someone with experience doin the fitting...
£710 for a 3st weight save is a ration that counts me out

Hi Guys, sorry ive been slow at updating this been flat out at work and other bits...
Right about fitting the reason why its so high is mainly due to having to call in another company to remove and refit the glass. Unless someone knows a body shop that can do it all in one then quotes would be cheaper.
Chris has contacted another body shop about fitting and this is what he replied in his email to me..
'A Local Body Shop to me has also quote me £290 plus VAT to fit the roof, plus the £190 for the glass company to come out and remove the screens and re fit them.
The Bodyshop is called TF Smiths at settle, the foreman is called Tony, his number is 01729 823333. He said that would be the rough price, and he may be able to move on the price depending on the work involved to do the job. now obviously they are better set up to do the fitting and have all the necessary insurance for having vehicles in their workshop.'
Also if we find a body shop that most of us can share then we may be able to get a discount there on fitting aswell.
Chris has also told me to pass on this disclaimer lol...
'Alan i must say that the roofs are manufactured to the highest quality using the best materials available, but i do need to say that im unusre on the legalities of using this product on the road, i know for a fact these are infinatly stronger than the standard steel roof skin, but obviously we cannot give any garuntees on whether these meet any safety regulations for road use. Therefore i would have to say these are for offroad use only and its entirely dependant on the customer whether they use this on the road.'
But doesn't bother me lol.

'As for shipping to netherlands / sweden i would imagine it would be around £260 including postal insurance which is a must and we always use fedEX
However if the customer would like to try and find a cheaper quote this is perfectly fine with me, the size of the package is 1.5m x 1.25m x 0.3m and weight including packaging is approximatly 5Kg our Address is:

fitting the roof, let U know ASAP when I get an answar

Lars
I will ask but i doubt so as i asked before. I will have to tell him there is a few people asking about the roof flap including myself.
Can someone get onto a bodyshop that is not far for most of us that we could get some sort of group deal done to fit these? As i think that is the biggest issue at the moment. Or those of you that can fit it offer your services ans quote the others please?

Please add your names if i missed you guys that are interested.
Have important information to those that are interested but hiding. If you are planning on waiting on another discount group buy to see how the first batch is etc and see how pleased everyone is with them
Then unfortunately you will be disappointed to know that this is a one-off offer.
Chris has told me in his reply..
'I will say that this group buy at the £450 price is a one off to get our company name out there, this price is actually less than my trade price.'
To be honest i think their well priced at that anyway. A fellow scoobynet member was qouted from roger clark before..
X1 Smooth roof. £1395+vat.

Just a few questions

Where you located mate?
How much would you charge for fitting?
How long would you need the car?
Would you do a group deal on fitting?
Finally.. Do you work for Carlsberg?
I'm located in Leominster mate near Hereford.
The fitting would be around £350 all in[that's screens in/out as well]
I would need the car for 3-4 days
Group buy wise would depend how many are lined up obviously and if carlsberg made bodyshops
