What sort of fuel are you planning to use, as the ID2000s are not compatible with oxygenated fuels such as VP Import

I am using 40% Vpower 40% methanol and I think it's called Toulene, which is like paraffin,
Using this I can put more fuel through the engine, it burns cooler, so less chance of det,
Q16 and the likes are so expensive,
The mix I am using works out 70 pence a ltr
And using the 2000IDs as the Nos is a dry kit, so need the extra capacity for that,

This is a new Nitrided 2.5 crank, before it is fitted it will be built as an assembly and balanced





These are 2.5 block halves, that I have had closed decked by AS Performance
The rally cars that he as supplied these for run upto 2.5 BAR of boost, with no issues

Are you doing your own heat wrapping bez? I'm on with doing my headers today and its a flipping nightmare.

I've got a set of lock wire pliers here if you need to borrow them, makes the job quite a bit easier.

You mentioned about keeping the plexi glass from rattling or even coming out, I've seen a few guys in the states and Canada do this sort of thing;



I can't find the images but I've seen the also creat an metal trim and just bolt directly to that. Hope this helps

bin keeping mine a little quiet cos I have a habbit of breaking something before I get finished what I'm doing.just got the nitrous to map in then she's all done.i'm not going for outright power myself this time.the boost is staying at 2 bar so I can get some fun from it rather than pushing things to breaking point.would like to do totb this year but I carnt put my name to anything just yet cos work is mad at that time of year.

You going for a dry sump or sticking with a baffled sump bez?

 

No dry sump yet, funds will not stretch that far yet,
Still on 8" rims so should be ok

Next winter thinking about ABW 2 door wide arch kit with some 10" rims and tyres
Then I will go dry sump

The easiest way to get the door bars out is cut them at the ends with an air saw, its a pain in the a*** of a job and time consuming but worthwhile. To then free them from the mastic get a bit of locking wire or windscreen removal wire and use that to cut the mastic between the panel and the door bar. Its the only sure fire way to avoid damaging the paint or panel.

I assume its being caged with door bars?

 

oops note to self check date before posting you will probably have done that ages ago.

 

Looking good, and coming on nicely. Good choice of block as the EJ22's become harder to find I think this route will become more common.

Yes door bars are out
MSA cage welded in

I like the extra torque from the larger cc engines
My last 2.5 just about held power right up to the 7800 limiter
This assembly is going to be balanced, so might rev a bit more,
They are ok up to 8200rpm with the correct bits in,
With Nos I should have 500 lbs torque from about 3500 rpm and running anti lag with Nos from 3200rpm
