Bez take your door cards out and get a hole cutter and take as much metal out of the doors as you can then put the cards back in.

No front mount going on the car With this engine
Nos is just there to increase spool, not top end, but the Max extreme Nos controller is a clever bit of kit.
So it will squirt some in at low revs and then back down as the revs get higher, But you can also have it watching boost pressure, and give a squirt just to get bust back quicker,
either way, even without nos at the top end of the revs, it will still give a bit more power
But it low down where it is for.

Subaru trackday Mark
we are going on the Saturday 17th March. in the morning,
over night at a nice hotel at spa.
18th all day Sunday on the track, and then a road race through Belgium to Rotterdam for the overnight ferry, home in time for work Monday morning.
If car is not well, do you fancy coming as Passenger?
Stick is going with Frosty
Thers Me
and Tez and his Wiffy are going over on the Friday night ferry.

Its good, doing some fine tuning with it before Silverstone.
Charge temps come right down, and I mean right down. I'm not running Nos right through the rev range, just to get the Turbo spinning, and it does well, starting Nos at 1500, turbo spinning and on boost at 2500, Nos off at 4500
not producing much more power top end but loads more bottom end.
going on rollers soon for final set up., so will get a chart up.
Hows your doing,,, run in yet?

The Noz sounds like a really interesting route fella, not heard of this set up before
Mine came off the dyno on Friday after mapping and is now getting the road mapping finished off, hoping to get the phone call to collect it tomorrow
Looking forward to seeing the weight loss your doing with the car, mine is pretty much still a "full fat" spec c, it was 1350kg when it was corner weighted, that was with no rear seat and no floor mats, but I do not have a cage fitted. I keep getting told by Rich & Matt that I should be considering the weight loss and getting a cage fitted, not sure about that yet though, still like the luxuries
Will be good to have nosey around each others cars at Silverstone
Cheers,
Lee.

Lee, you must be buzzing about getting your car back, I know I was when I had the engine mapped, so frustrating while running in,
I put mine on the scales before I started it was 1440kg if I could get it down to 1350kg I would be happy.
your already down at 1350kg
I'v just had another silencer fitted to the exhaust to get the noise down, more weight there, cage still to go in.
11kg bottle of noz
the Nos is not for more power at the top, but just to get better spool.
and boy it does.
the spec C's are a fantastic car with no mods, so you have a far better started,
Mine is only a feeble WRX
we will defo have to catch up at Silverstone
Can I ask what power you got out of yours.

A good person to talk to about getting the (hawkeyes) car weight down would be Duncan Graham, you would assume he's been there and done that already
I have just got some 18x9.5s with the ABW arch extensions, side skirts and reversed bonnet scoop, may not be all done before Silverstone though? will be adding more weight though
Rich has given me 4 maps, 1.3, 1.6, 1.8 & 2bar all only on Vpower for now, managed to get us 607bhp & 531torx, I cant see me wanting to run at 2 bar though for reliability reasons, thinking of using 1.6 regularly and occasionally using 1.8 for a hot lap, hoping to get some Q16 in when she has a few more miles on it, should help a bit

As far as asking Duncan for advice, I don't like to,, as I don't use him for mapping, and don't want to be seen to be taking the urine.
I have herd he is good, but I use some others.
thought the 2.35 was good up to 800BHP.. 2 BAR all day long
607 is good power
very good power
it would be good to look at your graff
looking forward to competing against you,// with you
Q16 will push it upto above 650
20% Meth will give a good amount more than 607 and much better torque
Nos is the way forward,,,,,, I hope

Yeah your right the 2.35s can and have made more, but for how long? I would guess with Q16 650hp will be easily attainable, but the Q16 aint cheap. To be honest I thought it was fairly quick at 417hp, so running at around 570hp will be more than enough for me
how much does the Noz cost, is it expensive stuff to run? I've got visions of Fast & Furious

If you have made over 600bhp on VPower, I'd be willing to bet you could see near 700bhp on Q16.

Lee I have more visions of Bez in tokyo drift but in his transit van with all his work gear crashing about inside

This is what controls the nos
its linked into the ecu
you can set it to run with Boost pressure, ARF, RPM, ect and you can set 4 maps, you can change these with out the use of a laptop too
there is no big red button on the steering wheel
but there is a switch under the red cover.
For an 11Lb bottle it is £5 per Lb so that would be £55 + VAT to fill a 11Lb bottle.
I am only using the Nos at low revs to get the Turbo spinning earlier, I dont think I will need to by any more nos this year, but time will tell.
I don't know what power I am getting from it yet, but it spools so early now with the nos
This is what I was getting without Nos
As soon as I have it on the rollers I will post Graph
Gus, I do like to drift abit, but the new van is FWD

Sounds cheap to run fella, as Martynj has stated I believe I should be getting another 80bhp with the Q16, this will be running it at 1part Q16 & 4parts Vpower, filling a (spec C) tank will cost about £230 so cant see me using it that often
and I've seen your drifting first hand

An update on the car,
Had a great season last year running in the Paceward MLR 22B sprint series
Finished 2nd in class
Last year we were working with our old engine that ran very well all year, running about 470bhp
We worked on aero on the car
Giving the car a flat floor, with a large splitter and a good size rear diffuser,
And ran a DRS System on the rear wing, this was manually operated by a button on the steering wheel
For this year we are moving away from the cars std ecu and will be running a alkitec ecu
The ecu will be controlling the DRS through the use of data logging and GPS, so the ecu will know where the car is on the track
The ecu will also Controle the 4 port Nos dry kit
We are also giving the car traction Controle,
We are on with the new engine, with will be ready for the end of Feb,
We are removing the hyperflow topmount and fitting a hyperflow monster front mount, thanks to Dunx
Rotating the turbo using the RCM kit, and fitting new 3 bolt gt spec rapped headers
Then bolting a billet gt3582 Owens race spec turbo
Fitting an extra silencer to try and reduce the noise,
We will be using ID 2000cc injectors and a dodgy fuel mix
Photos to follow
