Good job I have an off the shelf i3 HP laptop to use till mine works. I had to turn the ram back to 1333. As it was causing conflicts during the new install

 

Try reset CMOS battery on few minutes.This sometimes help.

Not sure your MB supporting Triple channel memory or just dual channel memory?

Just have look at BIOS on BCLK,which setting you have there

You did run memtest before installing the OS, Steve?

 

Never tried it yet as I only managed to get a hard dive working for install about 2hrs ago. I will try it once I have an operating system installed.

Memtest86+ runs without an OS: Download it on another PC, then stick it on a memory key, boot CD, or a floppy disk (if you want to reminisce ), and set the BIOS to boot from that.

You should always get zero errors. Run it everytime you change a setting to something new and untested. The longer its run for, the better.

 

I'm sick of trying to get OS systems to run so I will try that with the memtest another time I have the ram running at the right speed and I will leave the pc on for a few days and see what happens
