Back in the Fold [Pics]
Right, sooo.. further update:
Had a noise coming from the n/s/f.
Day off today so went back to my old work and asked the boss for a ramp for the afternoon which he obliged as they were quiet (had to pay of course )
Took it out for a roadtest, me sat in passenger seat i could feel it more coming from the n/s/f area, especially when loading the weight onto the n/s when cornering right.
Concluded was n/s/f bearing so got it up in the air to feel for play - none which was wierd
The bearing was absolutely wanked! In wanking itself it also decided to **** the hub flange.. great
Call subaru up for replacement... "that'll be £180 please, plus the £170 for the bearing kit" - Bollocks!
So ordered all that and also decided to do the other side as matter of course (always having done a job properly)
.
All arriving tomorrow.
But anyhoo, this is what we found:

What was left of the bearing assembly:

In turn ******** the flange - pitting:

VS. nice smooth flange on offside:

Also gave a few rear end components a quick polish up

Nicey nice rotors:

Arches need a good jetwash - that'll be next
