Haven't posted for a while - nothing better to do on a Monday morning !
Put my winter wheels on back in mid November.. only one shoddy phone pic

Much better than silver IMO ! Winter tyres are also keeping proper winter weather away nicely. You're welcome
Took a trip out to Two-Tree Island the other night and got a couple of shots:

Nothing much else has changed. Still got exhaust, new brakes and clutch to go on... They'll get done soon I hope !

2012 updates
Haven't updated this for a while. Anyway...
Gave the car an oil service and a machine polish back before winter - a coat of C2 was applied and then the car was left to get dirty for a while
The car was amazing with this on the winter tyres. Really recommend a set of them to anyone for Nov>March. Wet weather / cold / snow.. it was brilliant !
Didn't do too much on the car [apart from a few photos when I was bored] for a while but the last couple of months have been expensive.
So on to the work...
Got the belts and clutch done a month or two back as it was all making a whole heap of noises and was getting truly embarrassing !! While he was there, he also welded up a bit of the exhaust and gave the a/c a re-gas so when I got it back it was like new
Next up was some new 'summer' tyres. Wanted something decent to replace the 5 yr old, barely worn T1Rs which were on there, and also wanted something with a fatter profile to fill the arch a bit too. Got a set of Hankook V12s from Black Circles which made my lounge smell epic for a few days
The brakes needed doing BADLY as well.. turns out I had a seized calliper so I ordered new standard 4-pot fronts from GodSpeed. Fitted these (well I stood around and watched my friend do this ) with the discs and pads I'd bought months back. Not as good as the Brembos that were on the green bus, but 100x better than the old warped/f**ked set that were on !!
Few weeks later, next up was a friend doing a trackday in Wales (Llandow) where the 'bus was used as a van. There was some rubbing from the rear however when loaded up and 'making progress' over bumps.
So then I got a set of Spax coilies from 519Automotive last week after almost no consideration at all, to try and solve the rubbing issues. 105k mile shocks and springs got replaced this weekend with:
We set them up briefly and on first impression, all seems well even on full-hard ! Need a new topmount on the rear as there's a mighty crack in one of them, so I've bought a full set of adjustable pillow-ball TMs from Camskill today. Hopefully they can go on this weekend and then I can get it set up properly !!
This is how it sits at the moment anyway. Nice bit of rake and a bit lower than standard. I don't want to go any lower as it doesn't need it at all and will probably rub due to the tyres
Before:
Now:

My only other purchase has been a pair of STi rear wings which need paint, but luckily for me, so does the bootlid thanks to a thin patch of paint and an over-enthusiastic badge-removing spoon with a rotary polishing machine who shall remain nameless.
That'll do for now I guess !
Cheers

Cheers Trails.. I'll see how I get on.
So,
Hi again. Just a quickie

Little photoshoot with a friend's E30 tonight.. my car needed washing after far too many weeks of neglect and nailing all the puddles I can smashing the country lanes around here !
Literally a wash [as it kept raining] and a splash of tyre gel.

Beautiful wagons you have mate! I hope your still paying some attention to that green one though lol.
I have a wagon myself, been building for it a year now, but this weather really prevents me from moving forward!
Take a peek at my thread if you fancy it.
Cheers!
