I'd say he was a brilliant actor, hence convincing Komedy King Kenny, to splash out £20M for him!!!!!

lol so true

now can everyone stop slagging off Kenny - he might not be the greatest manager in the world but he's still an absolute legend and you can't point the blame for our dismal league performance this year soley at him.

surely even the most hardened utd can appreciate that - kenny is quick witted, amusing, loyal to the extreme, hard working and passionate about the club and players he's working with.

I mean, I hate Fergie with a passion because he's a boring, unfunny, hypocritical, huge vagina, but, i'll admit he's a fantastic manager!!

And yet Gerrard, Suarez and Carroll haven't even been "pulled" for theirs.

TBH, its going to ruin football if this keeps up, you cannot throw this sort of money into a game and lose £192,000,000 per annum, this will come to an end (and soon hopefully with the introduction of financial restraints), otherwise it works out that each man city supporter will need to pay £800-1000 per match ticket which really is out of their reach
But good on man city, it was a close game, will be 44 years before they get their next title though

Yep always next year, though I thought we did pretty well considering having 11 players injured for most of the season, not bad to get 2nd with the same points, plus we will get better with our young players, should be a good 2012-2013 season

Its not like United team was put together on a shoestring budget is it? Nutter.

Fantastic end to the season and I'm pleased for QPR to stay up.

Yes Manchester United have spent big for the last 20 years, but we didnt lose the money, we always had the cash and were not in debt at the end of the season from gate/tv/sales etc, Man City are a small club really in the Premier league, they dont have the supporters backing them and they wont, its just one of those clubs, it has its supporters in manchester, though even after today you ask anyone from any other country which football team comes from Manchester and they will always say United, just like if you asked that same question about Liverpool, they wont say Everton.
Still, always next season and a fresh start with all our players and not half an injured team should be some clearing out this summer to make room for the youngsters

No they were not, but then again we didnt spend near 1 billion quid in 2 seasons either buying players, I doubt we have done that in 20 years let alone 2!

Yes they have, but they sold and bought players, so they made the difference up
Man City are going to be the Chelsea of the north or the Blackburn

No, he means in another 20 years they'll still be more successful in the Premier League than Liverpool.

2 points though if I may...

1. The usual ABU ******* are more vocal than City fans (if SN has any?)
2. Utd may have spent big over several seasons but this wasn't due to a one-off wealthy benefactor. It was due to clever marketing around the world of the Utd brand and all the glory supporters spending ££.

Now we have that out the way, my genuine congratulations to Man City and also Liverpool on finishing below Everton after spending £100m and having a far bigger budget than the toffees

On the bright side, at least the Championship next season will have more Premier League winning teams than the city of Liverpool.
Will it? Wow, I must have missed where that was cited as being of any importance whatsoever.
