The pedestrian protection/exploding bonnet thing is what everyone goes one about, perhaps with a little exaggeration.

They are really very good cars though.

But I prefer stick shift.

...and I'm too poor to buy one.

As you can tell I am stuck in a hotel and bored tonight...

...these cars are a lot more common than I thought.

There seems to be just under 1,500 registered on the roads in the UK.

Probably twice as many as I expected!

LOL I probably see at least one per day around where I live in South Manchester.

But 911's are more common.

I think it is great that 911s are common - means it is a go anywhere supercar. Don't get the negative attention say a Ferrari or a Lamborghini gets.

The only more anonymous super car is an R8. There again, most people think they are a TT.

There is always something faster though, like my mates Skyline now that he has fitted the JUN engine

IIRC some of the figures go like this....

Timed run of 60-130 = 4.3 seconds

And he is hoping for 1300 bhp when finished

Nice video, shame the music and the noise of the car on the dyno overlap

Not about it being fastest, it's just a great car!!

911 supercar?

911 perceived stigma is, IMO, much worse than that of a fezza or lambo. General 911 reaction is "middle age crisis/balding fat man", fezza or lambo is "rich w@nker" ...... one of these two is closer to a compliment than the other

But then i drive a datsun, so you all appreciate i'm not overly concerned with what other people may think of me

Jurgen's GTR is top spec, can't wait to see what it achieves at TOTB!! SVM machine will be up there too, think they looking at a casual 1,200bhp

Godzilla OD'd on too much power!! Bad for Jurgen obviously, but good for the wider community who can all learn from it and hopefully provide solutions....VR38DETT is still young in life, it needs time to go through proper R&D before its ready to be spitting out 1000bhp!

These aluminium blocks maybe light but they aint as durable as the cast iron of RB26 and 2JZ of the past!

Exactly... Feel rather sorry for him, lot of time and money spent... But this is why we wait for the tuning companies to do it first
