Although thanks for the AVCS plugs that got mine going!

To be fair the Sti is better out of the box than a WRX always will be, however there are many 'WRX's' that will outdo a std STI - I know mine would as most of the parts are STi or better!

As Rambo says "Nothing is over! Nothing! You can't just switch it off!"

It will be over when an STI (driven well) with circa 300 nails me

I can show humility too and will declare it

Could well be, since I wouldn't launch my new baby from 5500 revs.

Well, at least not yet!

PS I'd catch you on the twisties though!

Nothing is over! Nothing! You just don't turn it off! It wasn't my war! You asked me, I didn't ask you! And I did what I had to do to win! But somebody wouldn't let us win! And I come back to the world and I see all those maggots at the airport, protesting me, spitting. Calling me baby killer and all kinds of vile crap! Who are they to protest me? Who are they? Unless they've been me and been there and know what the hell they're yelling about!

"l did everything to win, but someone with an STI didn't let us win."

Great film by the way, the book is even better.

Yes a stock WRX will always beat a stock STI.

I did think this thread was a bit funny when I read it and can't believe there are so many pages. It is like saying, will my 330i bmw beat the new V8 M3.

Mine hadn't ever been fired up at that point. It was a wiring issue that got solved next morning and it fired up first turn of the key. next time they are near each other will be a different story

You're welcome though RE: AVCS plug.

Seems a bit low? My old bug WRX PPP was dyno'd at 250-odd BHP .... ?

Rob
I used to have a 4x4 2.1 RS2000 that would keep up with scoobs back in the late 90's. Strange thing is my mates crappy 1.6 Megane would keep up with me! A rolling start in the WRX 'STI eating machine' v my old 1.3l and the ol' botty hole might be nipping.

Cars aren't always black & white. Some drivers just know how to get everything out of a car. I think it was speccy who used to say to me he'd beat any car I had in a 1.0 Fiesta.

At the end of the day it's not what's the best car it's what would would own on a spirited blast from the lights? WRX or STI?

Still haven't received footage btw! ...I wonder why!
