I've always said he behaves like a "chip-on-his-shoulder" ex-bullied schoolkid. Because he's 'made it', he's using his success as a childish "ner ner ner ner ner" 2-finger salute to his bullying peers/doubters, etc. That aspect of his 'personality' really does come though IMO.
An embittered man (read dick, ****, et al).

Top DJ my ****! I thought the job description implied that you were supposed to "jockey discs"? Perhaps more than once every half hour even - rather than being wrapped up in own self-importance, etc.
A la the movie, The Krays: he has nothing to say and says it too loudly.

Radio1 wouldn't exist if we didn't have to pay for it without choice, Top Radio station my ***, its fucking shit. Its hosted by arseholes and plays the most dire music ever to grace airwaves.
